They gently padded upon the various stones along the mountain side careful not to let the pebbles slip beneath their paws as they began to pick up their speed the thrill in being able to move on terrain not many were used to was fine by them it gave them more spots to hide or get away if needed. The red lynx point blended rather nicely with the yellow and red clay in this area and so when they snuck away without the others they would come here. Knowing that they could get some time to themselves no matter which one of their siblings they liked or did not. They kept their ears shifting listening for the beats of wings or the sound of paw steps approaching. They were aware that cats resided near here some would even come to visit the mountain side and sit along the large flat heated stones. They carried two distinctly different scents but it seemed that the ones that came near the mountain seemed to get along, and recently they had noticed the scent of their siblings around but had yet to run into them.

Marrow did eventually appear, face still slick with blood from a recent skirmish as it approached a nearby body of water, taking a moment to clean its wounds before shaking out its fur.
It knew Pebble was around, of course, their scent was easily recognized by it, but it felt no need to speak up before it had performed the necessary self-maintenance needed to keep old wounds from being set upon by various diseases. The ritual was familiar, calming even.
It wouldn't mind a brief rest anyway.

Almost as if their thoughts were brought to life the soft petal falling like paw steps of one they preferred to avoid at times was near, as they glanced down from a jutting stone they looked down upon the figure of Marrow, it seemed to make it, its mission to step in between themselves and Snow who they had noticed hadn't been home in a while and so they had decided to descend the mountain in search of her of course once they had passed their scent they had become less worried about finding her and more about just having the freedom to roam they knew they would come across her eventually and hoped it would be when Marrow was away from them but it had an uncanny way of knowing when Pebble was somewhere and most of all when they wanted some time with Snow. So as his bi-coloured eyes rested on it from above they decided to go down anyway watching Marrow as it cleaned its fur of the darkening blood in its pelt. Taking its time like nothing else could happen in this moment even Pebble knew better then that everything could change in the next breath. "Well if it isn't Marrow, sure has been a while." they meowed cheerfully as the kept their distance but dipped their front paws into some of the cooling liquid yet untouched by the crimson swirls coming from Marrows body. "What poor unsuspecting fool or thing got in your way this time?" they decided to ask as their curiosity peaked knowing it could be cat or animal that received such a bloody end.

Marrow glanced up at its sibling, huffing out a short grunt before properly speaking up, lifting its head out of the water, "SunClan cat got a bit too overconfident, had to claw their brain back into place." It mewed, "at least it had the mind to run when the blood started pooling too thick."
It stepped out of the water, lounging on some of the heated rocks after a moment, "what about you? Seen anything of anyone new up here lately?"

Pebble thought for a moment both of the poor Sunclan cat whomever or whatever that was and about those he'd seen " I've seen a few both with the fresh, crisp scent of the mountain pass and a few with scents that carry a similar scent to another but different in their own ways. Two of them I know seem to be loners traveling together, they look the same until you get close to them and can spot the small differences." he explained wondering why Marrow was curious about others but didn't think to question it since he couldn't get to Snow he supposed by helping Marrow at times he also helped the other. He began to wonder if Mumble, Marrow's shadow was around somewhere it's not like he would know if they had decided to leave the nesting grounds the family currently occupied.
