Mosspaw wasn't feeling great after they had blown up at Rosepaw like that. Maybe somewhere deep down, Mosspaw knew that she was trying to help. But even so, the awkwardness and embarrassment that her actions had caused were too much for Mosspaw. With that being said, Mosspaw knew that they shouldn't have talked to her the way that they did.
But Rosepaw was a problem for another time.
After mulling things over by the stream outside camp, the grey and white tabby decided that they'd find Mistypaw first. If nothing else, talking to her first would give them some more time to think about what they were going to say to Rosepaw.
They rose to their paws and began to pad in the direction they had seen Mistypaw going. Mosspaw had half a mind to start calling out her name, but after already being embarrassed in front of her, they thought better of it. |

⋆⁺₊⋆ moonclan ─ apprentice ─ she/her ⋆⁺₊⋆ ⬤xxMistypaw had continued in pretty much the same direction in which she left camp. Her path led her vaguely towards the Twolegplace, though she stopped way before she reached it and strayed to the side, where the stream delved from camp towards the forest, nurturing the plants breaking from the grasp of leafbare.
⬤ Beside the creek, the snowy she-cat sat with her paws tucked under her and her tail pressed against her side. She would have looked like she was sleeping. But she was actually just looking at the water, quiet and thoughtful.

They found Mistypaw with little trouble and slowly approached her from behind. The grey and white feline would sit down beside Mistypaw, sure to leave a bit of space between the two of them, realizing she might still feel awkward about the situation. Mosspaw took a moment to let themself settle in before they addressed her.
"Uh, hi, Mistypaw," they began. Already feeling awkward, they tried to clear their throat hoping that would make them feel a little less awkward. It didn't. "That stuff Rosepaw said, that was crazy, right?" |

⋆⁺₊⋆ moonclan ─ apprentice ─ she/her ⋆⁺₊⋆ ⬤xxMistypaw's unfocused and nearly serenely thoughtful gaze upon the rushing waters turned into a quick turn of her head, slit pupils in alarm, and a twitch of her paws, almost about to leap away. She quickly realized that it was no threat though, and her alert gaze turned softer, but embarrassed and awkward, avoiding looking at the feline tail-lengths away.
—"Umm.. yeah. Totally.." she mewed, and took a long, long, awkward pause. Finally, she voiced her thoughts.
—"I think she was confused, maybe. Maybe her signs really just meant that, that uh, that we'd be good friends. I can see that happening."

Mosspaw noticed her refusal to meet their gaze. It made snese, but it made their heart hurt nonethe less. They were usually so comfortbale around Mistypaw, but things really felt messed up right now.
They were nervous, but Mosspaw still padded forward and sat beside Mistypaw. She said that maybe the signs had another meaning. They'd be good friends. Mosspaw hoped that meant forever. If anything, they were glad that it meant that something like this wouldn't end their friendship.
"Yeah, I hope that's what she meant anyway. I think, I'd like to be your friend for a really long time." |
