RABBITSTAR He hadn't felt this good about a Clan meeting in a while, but this moon's meeting was... different. He felt confident. As Rabbitstar leapt up to call the meeting, he scanned the camp for the nearest cats, briefly mulling over the responsibility he held now as a leader. The life of a warrior was first and foremost about the responsibility each cat had for the Clan - leadership held nine times that amount of pressure. They silently vowed once more to improve the Clan's well-being. “All cat's old enough to catch their own prey, gather around for a Clan meeting!” On cue, cats began to gather. “This moon, we have a few young cats furthering their journey into the life of a warrior,” they began, glancing to the nursery. “Leafkit, Marigoldkit, you two have reached the age of six moons and as such you are ready to be apprenticed. Marigoldkit, from this day on until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Marigoldpaw. Your mentor will be Leafdapple.” With this, they beckoned Leafdapple forward. “Leafdapple, you are ready for an apprentice. You received excellent training from Brookshine and in the past few moons have proven yourself to be intelligent and steadfast. You will be Marigoldpaw's mentor - I expect you'll pass down all that you've learned to her.” He paused to give the new pair to acquaint themselves with each other. Leafdapple leafkits marigoldkit |

Marigoldkit Marigoldkit no now Marigoldpaw had been waiting for this for a while. She quickly came out of the nursery and looked for Leafdapple. She was excited to finally be an apprentice. She knew that her sister would be following her as an apprentice today. |

Leafkit Leafkit followed Marigoldpaw out of the nursery. She was excited to finally to be able to be an apprentice. She looked at all of the cats that had gathered for this meeting. She sat down near her sister, but stayed quiet as she listened to what Rabbitstar said. |

✧･ﾟ:* Rabbitstar *:･ﾟ✧ He watched approvingly as the two new apprentices approached, then cast his gaze back into the crowd. “Before I can announce the next mentor, there's another ceremony that needs to take place,” they called, beckoning the next cat forward with their tail. With more obedience (and sheepishness) than she'd ever displayed in any other facet of her life, Seedpaw approached - though the glint in her mismatched eyes was as characteristic as ever. Peas in a pod... Once Seedpaw was close enough, the ceremony could continue. “I, Rabbitstar, leader of SunClan, call upon our warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and after moons of finding their confidence in their place, I commend them to you as a warrior in their turn.”Prying his gaze from the stars, he looked to Seedpaw, his gaze weighty with expectation. “Seedpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?”For a brief moment, for a flicker, Seedpaw faltered - a hesitation Rabbitstar had to restrain himself from reacting to. As quickly as the doubt came it left. “I do,” she answered firmly - tensely? It didn't matter. “Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Seedpaw, from this moment on you shall be known as Seedflame. We honor your dedication and adaptability, and honor you as a full warrior of SunClan.” He paused for the Clan to cheer Seedflame's new name. “Leafkit, from this moment on until you earn your full name, you shall be known as Leafpaw. Seedflame, as a symbol of good faith and to show how qualified we feel you are, you will mentor Leafpaw. I expect you will pass all you know onto her.”With the ceremony at an unusual conclusion, Rabbitstar signaled again with his tail for the Clan to cheer Leafpaw's name. Though it was... non-traditional, Rabbitstar was pleased with the meeting all the same. How representative of the warrior cycle. |

⚠ Seedflame ⚠ The cold dread of a new and unknown aspect of her life conflicted with the fiery excitement and anticipation, all in all culminating in making Seedflame feel... bouncy. They tried not to bounce on their toes as they listened to Rabbitstar speak. That affirmation of being a true warrior was as heavy as a tree and thick like the riverbank clay. It was done, though - she could disregard the passing thoughts of the gravity of Rabbitstar's expression and focus instead on the exciting part. An apprentice! Her own mini Seedflame... As soon as Rabbitstar gave the signal for the Clan to call Leafpaw's name, Seedflame redirected their attention to her. They lowered their head to greet Leafpaw, grinning as they observed the young cat. “Excited to see the territory tomorrow? We're gonna head out at sun-high so I can nap off my vigil, and then we're gonna go explore,” Seedflame whispered excitedly, with an almost conspiratorial air to her claims. As if that weren't what mentors were meant to do. |
