Staying Frosty || Intro + Hunting Patrol

Snow worked well for her. Most of her silvery points weren't visible when she held her body properly, and even when they were visible, they didn't contrast with the rest of her white fur enough to give her away. This natural camouflage combined with her long, thick fur made Frostrain's hunting in leafbare extra efficient. She reflected on this as a crow glanced over her. The bird pecked and scratched at the ground, fishing out hibernating bugs to stash away for the rest of the season.

With a quick leap and a swift bite the crow was hers. Frostrain scooped it up in her mouth and went looking for the rest of her patrol. “Any luck with the hunting?,” she asked in no direction in particular, waiting for a response from any cat who had a free moment. The patrol could probably return to camp soon - they left before sunhigh, and now the sun was halfway there. She'd caught two other birds since she last saw them. Seemed like as good a time as any to review what they'd managed so far.
