RABBITSTAR Rabbitstar had been contemplating today's meeting for some time now. With the recent ceremonies still fresh in his mind, it was hard to not feel like today was doomed before it started. Still, Clan life couldn't stop just because he was feeling wary. Swim or sink. Leaping up, he called the Clan meeting to a start. Once he was satisfied with the turnout, he begun. “Today, we have several kits who have reached six moons of age and, as such, are to be apprenticed,” he began. Rabbitstar began calling the names to get their attention. “Emberkit, Pecankit, Tigerkit - you are now six moons old and as such, it is time for you to be apprenticed. Until you earn your warrior names, you will be known as Emberpaw, Pecanpaw, and Tigerpaw.”With a shred of unease, he cast his gaze into the pool of warriors beneath him, subtly seeking out the mentors he had in mind. “Emberpaw, your mentor shall be Lichenshine. Pecanpaw, your mentor will be Snowspirit. Tigerpaw, your mentor will be Iceglow. I hope your mentors will pass down all that they have learned to you.” Though he had his concerns, he couldn't help but feel a swell of pride for his former apprentice becoming a mentor in his own turn. Ramen Kit Emberkit didn't know what to except when Rabbitstar called for a meeting. Curious, Emberkit walked out of the nursey den and into the crowd. He sat down and stayed quite especially when he heard his name. He looked around hearing two other's name as well. |

PecanKi, Kit, Sunclan Pecankit had been waiting for this day for a long time. He was ready to finally be able to leave camp and not have to follow the rules of a kit. Pecankit then looked at his sister and smiled. He knew that Tigerkit was looking forward to it as well. |

Creamskies Creamskies hearing that there was a meeting came out of the warrior's den and as the apprentice were mentioned and the warriors were picked for them. Cremaskies couldn't help but look at Emberpaw and Lichenshine. She couldn't help but smile at that pairing. |

Lichenshine had expected to be a mentor by now. Honestly, she was surprised Rabbitstar didn't pick her sooner. They wouldn't believe their own shock to hear the apprentice they were paired with. Emberpaw? Is Rabbitstar serious?
Lichenshine stopped herself from sending a questioning look to Rabbitstar, not willing to disrespect her leader. Instead, they dutifully rose their paws when called, careful to reveal nothing in their expression. Lichenshine padded forward to stand beside her new apprentice. She did not look at Emberpaw. Lichenshine kept her gaze firm on Rabbitstar, waiting for them to finish the ceremony.

You will be the mentor of Emberpaw, and I expect you to pass on all that you have learned to him,” Rabbitstar concluded, allowing a moment for the two to touch noses and become acquainted. He didn't miss her gaze, but he ignored it. They might have to talk about it later, but for now... they were one of the most SunClan cats he could think of. If anyone would impart Clan values onto Emberkit, they were sure it would be Lichenshine. His eyes remained focused on the upcoming warriors. |

▼△▼ Iceglow ▼△▼ Devoted is one word for it, Iceglow mused, barely restraining a smirk as he imagined the training situations he might witness. Not missing a beat, Iceglow shot a smug look to Crowflame as he followed Lichenshine. Not ruined at all by the brief moment of regret that seemed to flash in Rabbitstar's eyes as they made eye contact. “Iceglow, I am entrusting you with an apprentice. You have proven yourself to be dedicated and brave. You will be the mentor of Tigerpaw, and I expect that you will teach her all that you know,” Rabbitstar droned. With an affirmative wink, Iceglow went to meet his new apprentice. Tigerpaw, hm? You're dodging lightning, kid, he thought as he waited for the ceremony to finish. |

Lichenshine looked at her apprentice. So, it was final. Begrudgingly, she bent down to touch her nose to Emberpaw's as the ceremony demanded.
While her muzzle was close to Emberpaw's ear, she whispered to him: "You'd best be ready to work, outsider." Lichenshine was mostly sure the other warriors couldn't hear her words to her apprentice, but, just in case, she kept the venom from creeping into her tone.
Lichenshine turned her attention instead to Iceglow and Tigerpaw. That was a tom that had their work cut out for them. Lichenshine hadn't forgotten the nursery annoyance Tigerkit and Pecankit delighted in. That kit talks like a warrior and bounces around like a kit. Good luck Iceglow. Lichenshine wrapped her tail around her paws, ignoring the unpleasant feeling in her stomach. Guilt, jealousy, or something else, wouldn't get the better of her. She wrapped her tail around her paws, turning her nose up and away from Emberpaw.

Tigerkit, no, Tigerpaw was delighted to have her name called at the ceremony. Yes! She was one step closer to her warrior name now.
She eagerly padded up to Iceglow after Rabbitstar announced her mentor. It wasn't Rabbitstar himself, but Iceglow still seemed pretty cool to her. Tigerpaw saw Iceglow looking in the crowd for someone, but she couldn't see who they were looking at.
Tigerpaw instead turned her attention to Iceglow, touching her nose to theirs when Rabbitstar instructed. She could feel her paws trembling in her excitement. Would she get to see the territory today? Maybe she'd catch something on her first day? That'd really impress the warriors!"

▼△▼ Iceglow ▼△▼ After the two were properly "introduced" by touching noses, Iceglow observed his new apprentice more properly. “You look spunky - congrats, I'm one of the coolest mentors you could've gotten. We're gonna have a lot of fun training,” he mused, staying quiet enough to not earn too much of Rabbitstar's ire. “You excited?”Admittedly, they weren't completely sure they were excited about it. Not that it didn't seem fun to teach an apprentice - and to brag about the successes to Crowflame - but he wasn't anywhere near the type of mentor to promote Clan ideals or whatever. It seemed like an almost suspicious move... but there wasn't much to be done about that right now. He'd just have to focus on the cool part of this situation. |
