ris watched the camp bustle around her with her usual expression of boredom. A yawn would part her jaw before a barbed tongue flicked out to clean the last of her meal from her maw and whiskers. The small list of what else she had to do today flickered through her mind and the bengal would let out a heavy sigh before burying the bones of her prey and then standing, stretching leisurely as she did so.
The next thing on her duties list today was border marking, which meant she really should find at least two more cats to go with her. Surely that would be simple enough? After all who wouldn't want to spend time with one of the prettiest she-cats in the clan? She chuckled to herself at this sentiment before rising to her paws and making her way over to a group of familiar pelts.
"Afternoon everyone. Any of you free to help me with border marking?"

Creamskies Creamskies wondered out of the warrior den. It wasn't the normal portal that she would be on, but she knew that these portals where important. It didn't take Creamskies long to spot Irisdust. Creamskies made her way over to Irisdust. "Morning Irisdust." She meowed softly as she watched the other cat in front of her. |

With a flick of one of her long, tufted ears, Crowflame recognized the approach of Irisdust and Creamskies, though her expression never faltered, remaining blank and neutral as usual.
"You know, I was just coming to look for you two for exactly that reason." The large molly drones, looking between the two. They would never admit they had, in fact, simply been staring into space with no intent of moving for quite some time.

โผใCoyotesprintใโผ Catching sight of Crowflame - nearly impossible not to, as big and bright orange as she was - Coyotesprint darted over. They heard, vaguely, what Irisdust was looking for and how Crowflame had responded, and gave an amused snort as they nudged their shoulder against Crowflame's. A subtle indication that they didn't buy her lie. โYou three going on a border patrol?โ Coyotesprint eyed Irisdust and Creamskies, almost analyzing them. โMind if I tag along? Hopefully there'll be a good skirmish or something to keep me entertained.โ Her tail lashed with anticipation at the notion and flexed their claws. |

"Hey there Creamskies." Iris would purr warmly as she stopped beside the tabby, tilting her head up to look at the sky. Was it morning? Starclan was this day dragging itself along if that was the case. Another droning voice would make her ears twitch. Turning her smile to Crowflame, Irisdust would echo Coyotesprints snort as she waved her paw in a 'hold on' gesture, "Don't get too excited about it, Crowflame. You might hurt yourself." A light chuckle would escape her before she nodded, "Right, of course, you were. Good thing I showed up then." Her tone was light, though still clearly held her usual sarcastic tone.
She would be lying if she said she was somewhat relieved to have Coyotesprint along. While Iris wasn't looking for a scrap, at least the patrol wouldn't be quiet. "That we are! Think you can keep up with such a crazy group, Coyote?" She would flicker her gaze between Creamskies and Crowflame before turning to start towards the entrance, "Let's get moving then, if we finish early maybe we can hunt or something."

Her eyes flicked over to the other three once she'd made it through. โLet's get the boring stuff outta the way so we can do something interesting!โ In use of all their patience, Coyotesprint opted to wait a few paces from the exit until the others in the group joined up, though one restless paw flexed against the earth beneath them. |

"I've never been excited in my life." The large tabby announced steadily in response, his tone dry. Xeir gaze swept between the group as they started to move on and, though xeir blank expression never faltered, Crowflame was pleased with how easily the group had come together. She glanced towards Creamskies as she stood, walking a loop around the she-cat before trailing after the others.
"Come, we musn't let them get too far ahead; can't let those two have all the fun."

The patrol group caught the attention of a very bored Lichenshine. Her eyes landed immediately on Crowflame and Coyotespirit. That destructive combination wouldn't get anything done, Lichenshine was sure of it.
She bounded after them, her long legs allowing her to easily close the fox-lengths between herself and the group. "I'm coming with you," Lichenshine announced, leaving no room for the other warriors to interpret it as a question. "You can thank me later," they meowed, gaze landing on Irisdust.

Irisdust couldn't fight back the snort of laughter that pushed through her nose at the antics of the now established patrol around her. This would not be boring at all, thank the stars. She would trot at a decent pace behind Coyotesprint, allowing them to take the lead as they wished with only a content and amused expression on her face. She would laugh at Crowflames words, directing her usual charming smile at them and Creamskies. Those two seemed close and Iris was happy that they could at least keep each other company while she attempted to keep an eye on Coyotesprint.
The sudden appearance of Lichenshine would catch Irisdust's attention and she would smirk as she moved as if to lightly nudge the molly's shoulder, "Oh I'll thank you now. There's no way I could keep this chaotic mess of a group together by myself." It was all said in good hearted jest, shown more by the purr of laughter that followed her words. Once the rest of them had caught up to Coyotesprint, Iris would stretch and take a deep breath. Time for business.
"Alright, like Coyote said, let's get this over with so we can have some real fun." Her tail lashed at the ideas that popped into her head before heading towards the border line she was tasked with marking, "I'm open to post patrol ideas if any cat has any."

Creamskies Creamskies looked at the group that formed, but her eyes landed on Lichenshine. "I'm glad your coming along." She meowed softly before following. She knew that Crowflame and Coyotespirit would be trouble on their own. But she also knew that Lichenshine would be helpful. "Let's get this done." Creamskies added wanting to be done, but she also wanted to bug Lichenshine about somethings. |

Of course you are, Lichenshine thought, knowing better than to voice the thought aloud. She could hear the playfulness in Irisdust's tone, which told her that the she-cat had no idea how irresponsible her Clanmates could be.
At the suggestion of post patrol activities, Lichenshine offered, "Combat training. A warrior should refresh their skills at any opportunity." They spared a glance at Coyotespirit. They'd sparred with the other feline in the past. "That sound like a good idea to everyone else?"

She wasn't entirely sure what some of them were like in a sparring situation. By some of them, they mostly meant Irisdust and Creamskies. They'd sparred with Crowflame and Lichenshine before. โBesides, this'll definitely be an... interesting group to train with.โHaving scanned the group, she was reminded of the whole point of the patrol to begin with. โOh, right. Creamskies smiled, she wouldn't mind sparring, but right now the boarder was more important. Creamskies looked at Lichenshine. "How's your apprentice coming along?" At the idea of combat training, Crowflame's ears almost seemed as if they perked up, the molly's expression shifting from its natural neutral one ever so slightly. She nodded her approval at the concept as the group set off.
As they mingled, he impulsively chimed in at Creamskies question, wanting to appear at least somewhat social.
"Yes, how is little...paw...thing." They trailed off, turning their head towards Lichenshine with an expression that could only be described as bewilderment.
"You have an apprentice?"

The surprise in Crowflame's voice only served to irritate Lichenshine. She crunched her nose, exerting as much control over her own expression as possible. "And why wouldn't I?" They retorted, narrowing their eyes at Crowflame. "I'm Rabbitstar's most loyal warrior." And I'll be his deputy before too much longer. Show some respect.
Lichenshine, realizing she snubbed Creamskies initial question gruffly added, "He's fine. Clueless, but fine." Lichenshine didn't want to give too much away. If Crowflame of all cats were to point out her shortcomings as a mentor, Lichenshine couldn't be held responsible for her following actions. Silence was the best choice.
