PANSYSTAR Pansystar emerged from her den, instantly feeling the crisp leaf-bare air surrounding her. Her light brown fur ruffled in response, and she breathed out warm air. Dusty grey morning light filled the clearing, reflecting on the light layer of snow that coated the campgrounds. Pansystar shivered at the thought of what the northern camp would look like this time of year. Pansystar was quick to take her place for the Clan meeting. The end of leaf-bare made her hopeful for the upcoming newleaf. Maybe MoonClan would see some new kits soon. That always lifted her spirits. It was a sign that the Clan would keep growing past their struggles. Their past year had been filled with them. But new kits couldn't be her focus today. Pansystar lifted her tail and called out to her Clan: "All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather to hear my words!"Her eyes would seek out Ashpaw, Sandpaw, and Brightpaw. Brightpaw in particular had spent many extra moons as an apprentice. Pansystar expected her to be the most excited of the three apprentices. "Today, MoonClan has much to celebrate. I've received word from the mentors of Ashpaw, Sandpaw and Brightpaw. They've told me their apprentices have completed their training and are ready to become warriors. ⌘ Ashpaw ⌘ Hearing Pansystar's voice, Ashpaw's ears perked up. When the names were called, he glanced towards her siblings, almost more excited for them than for himself. All the same, he stepped forward once beckoned by Pansystar. His whiskers quivered with anticipation. Possibly with nerves, too - she didn't think this would make him nervous, and he couldn't quite place why it made her jittery. He tucked that sentiment away for now. In the meantime, he kept his eyes on Pansystar. |

Ivystrike, Warrior, & MoonClan Ivystrike hearing Pansystar and headed over. He knew that it was time for another cememory and was excited to see how this was going to go. He sat listened to everything. He also knew that it was time for Darkkit to become an apprentice and he hoped that she wouldn't cause to much trouble. |

Darkkit, Kit, Moonclan Darkkit wondered out of the nursey hearing Pansystar. She was excited to become an apprentice at last. She sat down near the front of the crowd. She couldn't wait for Pansystar to say her name. Darkkit sat there and listened to what was going on. |

MoonClan thanks you for your dedication, as we welcome you as full warriors."Pansystar paused, letting the clearing beneath her ring with the cries of the new warriors. "Next, we have two kits who have reached six moons of age and are ready to become apprentices. Darkkit, Minnowkit step forward.""Darkkit, until you've earned your warrior name, you will be known as Darkpaw. Lionshine, you are a dedicated and honorable warrior. I trust that you will pass all you know onto young Darkpaw."Pansystar gave Darkpaw and Lionshine a moment to find each other before proceeding with Minnowkit's ceremony. ⌘ Ashwillow ⌘ He stood straighter once his new name was announced, chest puffed with pride over both herself and her littermates. She joined the crowd in cheering Brightsky and Sandstone's new names, beaming at them with his tail curled high. Then Darkpaw and Minnowpaw had their turns in earning new names, and Ashwillow gladly cheered their names with the rest of the Clan. Once the meeting was over, he glanced to Pansystar curiously. Volunteers for camp keeping? Ashwillow made a mental note to ask more about it once her silent vigil was over. In the meantime, he had to get started on that - and so, he diligently headed to the camp's entrance, making sure to smile fondly at her mentor and family as a silent thanks for their support. |

baby mine,
Nervous was an understatement when it came to describing Minnowkit on this day. She was fidgeting her paws, her mother having to hush her multiple times and lightly cooing at her to be still. But she just couldn't help it! She was six moons now, and that meant she was going to be made an apprentice. A shudder would run through her, both from excitement and dread. What if she got a mean mentor? What if her mentor didn't even like her? What if after their first lesson they went to Pansystar and just told her, 'nope, this one is a lost cause.'?
The little silver molly would practically jump out of her skin as her leader called her name alongside Darkkit. It would be quite clear to any cat looking at her that her paws were trembling, her head ducked ever so slightly as she took her seat before Pansystar and beside Darkkit. It would be fine. She and her papa had rehearsed this. She would make her vow, touch noses with her mentor and say confidently, 'My name is Minnowpaw! I'll do my best to make you proud!' and her parents would be proud of her.
Minnowkit would offer Darkpaw a soft yet encouraging smile as he gained his new name and was given to a warrior named Lionshine. But now it was her turn. She felt the eyes of every clanmate on her in that moment, and if any cat listened hard enough they would hear her little heart beating as fast as a hummingbirds within her chest.
'Minnowkit, until you've earned your warrior name, you will be known as Minnowpaw. Your mentor will be Mosstumble.' Minnowpaw would sit up a bit straighter, nodding softly to her leader before turning to meet whoever this Mosstumble was. Patient and capable, those were good things at least in her mind. Maybe she had gotten lucky and her mentor wouldn't immediately dislike her. She could hope at least.
"H-Hello," She would internally curse herself for the stammer, "My name is Minnowpaw, a-and I'll...um...work hard to make you proud?.." It sounded more like a uncertain question then a confident declaration, and in her eagerness to make a good impression Minnowpaw would move to touch noses with her mentor. She may or may not have slammed her nose against Mosstumbles with how quickly she did but the movement but in either case she would then follow them to their sitting spot to listen to the rest of the clan announcements, ears flat against her skull in a sign of self disappointment.
Way to go Minnow...great start...

Mosstumble was surprised to hear their own name among the mentors chosen. Even if they'd been a warrior for two years now, it felt like yesterday. Were they ready to be responsible for the education of a younger cat?
Nervously, they padded forward with Lionshine. Lionshine was so experienced, so responsible. Mosstumble felt small standing next to them. But before they knew it, their apprentice was in front of them. her voice seemed to tremble, she was as nervous as Mosstumble was. She practically slammed her nose into theirs, and oddly enough it brought ease to Mosstumble. "You've got nothing to prove," They assured her, warmth and laughter in their voice. "You'll do great." |

He didn't anticipate being given another apprentice so soon, but it was... relieving, to some extent. It made him feel trusted. He felt a little bashful at Pansystar's ceremonial praise. Still, he approached Darkpaw when he was meant to and moved to touch noses. She could see how Minnowpaw and Mosstumble's introduction was going from the corner of his eye, and couldn't help but smile fondly. He returned his focus to Darkpaw. “A pleasure to meet you, Darkpaw. I'll do my best as your mentor,” he purred. |

PANSYSTAR Pansystar's whiskers twitched when she saw approached by Ivystrike. He was certainly younger than Pansystar imagined. Though there certainly wasn;t an age requirement within the position. "Ivystrike, thank you for letting me know," she meowed, dipping her head. "Now, this position requires a lot of time away from the Clan, taking care of the other camp. That means less hunting and patrolling for you as well. Are you okay with that lifestyle change?" Pansystar realized she hadn't formally addressed the difference in responsibilities. She wanted it to hold the same respect that warrior held in the Clan. If only older cats chose it, Pansystar could imagine a world where her camp keepers were sneered at for doing easy elder's work. Nettlestorm, once an energetic apprentice, hadn't been the same since Webleaf had disappeared following Sunchaser and Moondancer's attack. The life of a camp keeper was bound to be slower than a warrior's life, but more isloated as well. She couldn't be certain if that'd be good for Nettlestorm. Foxlily would know better.
