Adventure Time ~Darkkit's Introduction~

Ivystrike, Warrior, & MoonClan

Ivystrike had just enter the camp after being out to only spot Darkkit trying to sneak out of the camp. "Darrkit, what do you think you are doing?" Ivystrike asked looking at the kitten in front of him. He knew what she was up to, but he wasn't going to let her.

Ivystrike thought back to when he was a kit and when he had left the camp. "You know you are not suppose to leave the camp. He said. He smiled though at the thought of Darkkit trying to sneak out.

Darkkit stopped realizing that she was caught. She wanted to argue since she knew from stories that Ivystrike had done the same, but she knew better. "Fine, I'll go back." She said, though this wouldn't stop her from doing it again. Darkkit liked to cause a little trouble.

Wanting to be a little rebellious, Darkkit looked at Ivystrike and Mosstumble. "Ivystrike use to sneak out when he was a kit." Darkkit said smiling at the fact she had brought up Ivystrike sneaking out as a kit. Darkkit just didn't want to be bored in the nursery.

Mosstumble chuckled at Darkkit's protest. Ivystrike, Nettlestorm, and Nightfrost had been quite the pawful when they were apprentices. They'd sometimes even rope in the timid medicine cat Pantherfeather.

"Oh, I remember," Mosstumble meowed, a smile on their maw. "Ivystrike and his friends used to cause such a headache in camp. They drove their mentor nuts." It was weird to Mosstumble that there was an entire group of apprentices with whom Mosstumble had never been in training. They were content to think of themself as the youngest warrior in MoonClan. But the reality hit them that they'd seen every season as a warrior. Time really does fly.

"You'll be an apprentice soon enough, and you really don't want to give your mentor such stress. I don't think I've seen apprentices pick as many fleas as that lot of 'em." Mosstumble chuckled, shooting Ivystrike an empathetic glance. Mosstumble knew that Ivystrike and Nightfrost were typically not the instigators of their hijinks.

Mosstumble titled their head. "Oh, yeah. I guess you wouldn't know about apprentices." They didn't know why, but they hadn't expected to explain Clan life to the kit. "Well, a kit, that's you, becomes an apprentice when they reach six moons of age. They train under an adult warrior for about six moons. That's your mentor. They'll teach you everything you need to know to become a warrior. Or I guess a medicine cat too, if StarClan chooses you." Mosstumble's whiskers twitched as they realized they had been rambling. "You don't have to worry about that yet though. You look a little too young to be six moons."

Mosstumble's attention flickered to Ivystrike. They hadn't told Darkkit about his apprentice stories. "Do you want to tell her?" Mosstumble offered. "They're your stories."

Darkkit listened to every word that Ivystrike and Mosstumble said. She was curious about the trouble others caused, but hearing Ivystrike, Darkkit looked at him. "Wait you got caught?" She asked not wanting to believe that he got caught. She looked at Mosstumble curious about what she said and wanted to know more, but she also wanted to cause more trouble.

After listening to them. "Do I need to go back?" Darkkit asked wanting to explore instead of being stuck in the nursery all day. Darkkit wanted to have fun, not be bored.

Ivystrike smiled hearing Mosstumble. Of course he was downplaying in hopes that Darkkit would not continue to sneak out of the camp. But, Ivystrike could not be for sure if that would happen or not. "Everyone who's tried sneaking out has been caught." Ivystrike said thinking about it. He knew that if Darkkit wanted to, she was going to try and sneak out.

"So how about you behave and not give the warriors a headache." Ivystrike said not wanting to have to chase down Darkkit or any kits or apprentice that have decided that they were going to sneak out.

"No!" Mosstumble exclaimed, playfully cuffing Darkkit over the ears. "You completely missed the point. Don't leave camp."

Mosstumble had a feeling their words would never get through to the adventurous kit, but they had to try anyway. "Think about it like this: one day you'll become a warrior. Then you'll have your entire life to hunt and patrol MoonClan territory. You've only got a few moons of being a kit and playing in camp with no responsibilities. One day you'll take care of the Clan too. Enjoy the time they spend taking care of you."
