Pecankit had been up super early and was no where to be found in the Nursery. Instead the young kit decided he was going to sneak out of the camp and go on a little adventure. Pecankit stayed quite as he made his way through the camp and out of it. Pecankit stopped a short few steps from the camp and just looked around.
He smiled as he looked at everything around him. Next time he would have to drag his siblings with him. Pecankit continued to move away from the entrance of the camp not wanting to be caught too soon. He knew that they would figure it out and that he would be in trouble, but at the moment none of that matter to him. He wanted to have an adventure. |

Tigerkit had been woken up when her brother stirred from his nest. She watched as the tip of his tail left the entrance of the nursery. She looked back at her mother, who didn't seem to notice his escape just yet. Tigerkit slowly rose to her paws, careful not to disturb Birchheart. What does he think he's doing, running off without me?
Tigerkit leaped after her brother, scrambling out of the nursery. She saw Pecankit leave camp, and scurried after him.
"What are you doing?" she squeaked.

Pecankit stopped dead in his tracks hearing a familiar voice. "Tigerkit, did you follow me?" He asked not sure how he woke his sister. Though Pecankit didn't mind that Tigerkit followed, he was just surprised that she followed. "Up for an adventure?" Pecankit asked still wanting to wonder before someone in camp or their mother find them missing.
"Also, don't be too loud, I don't want to get caught yet." Pecankit said before he started moving again, knowing if they stayed in one spot for too long, that they would get caught. Pecankit looked at Tigerkit and smiled. |

"Of course I followed you, mousebrain! You think I'm gonna let you go off on your own?" Pecankit offered adventure, and Tigerkit eagerly nodded along. "Let's go! Maybe if we do something cool, they'll let us be apprenticed early."
Tigerkit wasn't keen on letting Pacankit lead their tiny patrol, stringing to dart ahead of her brother. "We could try and fish in the Golden Pond. I've heard the warriors say you can get good stuff there if you're lucky/"

Pecankit smiled at Tigerkit. "Alright, let's go." Pecankit said following Tigerkit. Pecankit knew that they would be caught, but he wanted to have fun with Tigerkit, plus he hoped that if they did something cool like what Tigerkit said that they could become apprentices.
"Do you think we can become apprentices early?" Pecankit asked now curious about it. Pecankit didn't mind it, but he didn't know how he would handle someone new as his adventure buddy as he called it. "And I thought you wanted to sleep." He said now answering the question Tigerkit had asked. |

Tigerkit's tail-tip was twitching as she began leading the way through the territory. This was kind of like her first patrol! The only thing that could make it cooler was if Swanmask assigned it. One day I'll get a real patrol from a real deputy. One day I'll be that real deputy.
"Of course we'll become apprentices! I bet we'll get the best mentors too. I'll get Rabbitstar and you'll get Swanmask. I'm sure of it."
Tigerkit looked back at Pecankit briefly to respond to her brother's last question. "Well, yeah. Sleep is good. But I couldn't let my little brother get lost all on his own!" Tigerkit's voice was teasing. "And it seemed really fun."

Pecankit smiled at Tigerkit still. "I wouldn't have gotten lost, Tigerkit." Pecankit said following Tigerkit. Pecankit then thought about what his sister said. "That would be awesome if we did!" He exclaimed really wanting it to happen.
Pecankit looked around. "You know mom and the whole clan will probably come looking for us sooner or later." Pecankit said knowing that they would be in trouble for leaving the camp, but then again this was fun to Pecankit. |

Tigerkit figured as much, that cats would come looking for them. But they'd be so impressed when they found them. It wasn't just any kits who could pull off what they were going to pull off.
"That's alright," Tigerkit responded. "All that means is we've got to get to the golden pond as soon as possible. If we make it there and catch a big fish, they'll be so impressed with us."

PecanKi, Kit, Sunclan "Then let's hurry." Pecankit said picking up speed. He smiled at Tigerkit when she memtioned catching a big fish. "They will to the point that they make us apprentices now." He said more determined now. Pecankit felt more sure of himself when Tigerkit was around. Pecankit looked around them. "How much trouble do you think we will be in?" Pecankit suddenly asked wondering what would be said to the two kits since they had left camp when they weren't suppose to. But, Pecankit liked being outside of the nursery and camp. |

Tigerkit shook her head. "I don't know. Maybe a little bit. Kits aren't supposed to leave camp buuuuuut this is pretty important." If they did so well Rabbitstar made them apprentices, and took her as his own apprentice, then surely they couldn't get into that much trouble right?
"We should still try to be sneaky," she meowed. "We don't want Birchheart to find us before we can catch our fish. She could totally stop us form being made apprentices!"

"You're dead set on becoming Rabbitstar's apprentice, aren't you?" He asked realizing it. Pecankit smiled at Tigerkit while waiting for her reply. Pecankit hadn't really thought about who he hoped would be his mentor yet. |

Birch'heart had been sleeping happily, curled up to surround her kits in warmth...but something was wrong. She opens her eyes groggily as she looks to her kits.
1....2....wait...
Only 2 kits? Now Birch'heart was awake, she sits up looking around the nursery in a panic.
"Tiger? Pecan?" Birch'heart asked in dismay as she sees thst they were fone...did they leave the camp? Birch'heart began to panic quietly leaving her other kits to rest as she quietly runs out.
She could only hope to find them before anything bad would happen.

"Of course I am," Tigerkit responded. "Rabbitstar's like the coolest warrior ever, and he's Clan leader. So that means StarClan thinks he's special. I want them to think I'm special too." Tigerkit was dead-set on proving she was. Even if her mother wanted to try and control her, confine her to camp or the nursery. Tigerkit would prove it. "I want to be Clan leader someday like he is. I think that'd be amazing." She giggled excitedly. "I'll be sure to make you my deputy, Pecankit."
Tigerkit looked over her shoulder. SunClan was still in view. "We'd better get a move on! Birchheart is gonna notice we're gone soon."

Pecankit knew that their mother probably already noticed that the two were missing. "Mom probably already knows that we are gone, so let's get out of the view of camp." Pecankit said taking off. He didn't want to be caught at all, well at least yet. |

Birch'heart leap through the bushery looking around Sunclan's territory only hoping her kits didn't stray too far and get them back to the den, she knew they really wanted to go out, and she did say when they were slightly older she would bring them out with her, and there was a reason for that.
Other wild animals saw kits as a snack, something easy to take a hold of and the last thing she wanted was to loose her kits to those who lurked in the night looking for something to eat. She pauses, taking a deep breath and reminding herself to not freak out, she had to focus, keep herself level-headed and find them as soon as possible. But when she looked around the territory and realized they weren't anywhere at all she knew they had left.
"Oh Starclan give me strength, I hope they aren't in trouble" She muttered before trying to track their scent, she was glad she took the opportunity to learn from some of the warrior cats even if she had decided to aid as a kit sitter. With how rambunctious kits can be there was always a chance this could happen. Her eyes widened when she caught a whiff her two kits and looked towards the forest. No time to waste now.
She took off into the woods, sprinting as quickly as her stubby legs would allow her to.
