RABBITSTAR
What a relief to have camp being repaired and for cats to be safe. It seemed something a bit more routine could be allowed to stay in the space, even if only part of it was pleasant. He glanced at the charred edges of his perch but quickly disregarded the emotions that threatened to build up as a result.
“Cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather for a Clan meeting!,” he called. They waited for their Clanmates to settle before proceeding. “By now I'm sure you've all heard of the... strange past few moons we've had. Some of us found ourselves in divine combat, the Clans against the entities Moondancer and Sunchaser, while others were trapped in a comatose state here in camp. Only for us all to reunite to a burning camp. As ever, we have persevered. SunClan has made it through adversity once more. Unfortunately, that comes with losses of individuals - this time, in the form of Fallenpetal. SunClan grieves for her loss, and we will hold a vigil tonight.” He allowed a somber pause in honor of the fallen warrior who had, in recent memory, been subject to that horrendous attack.
Finally, he continued. “There is still cause for some celebration, though. Today, we are able to honor the newest warriors in our ranks.” He gestured with his tail for the cats to come as they were called. In turn, he called the sacred words for Leafpaw and Harepaw, commending them to the ancestors for diligence and intelligence. Leafdapple and Hareraven.
“These are unusual times, and as cats who haven't just returned from battle, I request that you help patch up the camp in place of a silent vigil. Aside from that, I think it'd be best to have more experienced warriors keeping watch - for now.” Finally, he dismissed the Clan. He had been satisfied with the progress of these apprentices before newleaf had been missed, and he was sure that the very traits he had commended them on would make them just as prepared as any other warrior.
In the meantime, they could celebrate and sort out their tasks, unless the Clan had questions. In which case, while cats were free to roam, Rabbitstar would remain on his perch for a few moments longer.
