RABBITSTAR What a frightening return from battle. The events after battle were rarely enjoyable, particularly after a battle so significant, but Rabbitstar would never have fathomed this. A majority of SunClan had been in a coma for three moons - three moons - and he couldn’t even quite understand how or why that had come about. The battle with the gods had been forced by celestial paws, utilizing the harshness of nature, and yet a majority of the Clan had waited patiently in a pristine sleep.
Only StarClan could say for sure if this was a blessing or a curse.
With the entire Clan having skipped the end of leafbare and a majority of newleaf, there hadn’t been anyone to prepare the territory - hadn’t been anyone to prepare the camp - for the vicious heat of greenleaf. Grass around the camp grew as it pleased. Vegetation sprawled about, too close together for safety. So well timed, too, were the cruel claws of fate. The lands were fairly dry, it seemed it hadn't rained for just long enough that a strong sun could ignite disaster - strange, he could have sworn he smelled rain, wasn't this flood season? - yet this danger would have to be addressed soon.
It hadn’t even been a full day of tending to wounded warriors and catching up between the unconscious and the battleworn before the scent of smoke filled the camp with a palpable tension.
Rabbitstar's curly pelt stood straight with the realization that something had to have caught fire along the camp’s outer walls. They had been mid-conversation with a cat who had been in a coma, making sure everyone had as much information as they could possibly have. They had planned on a meeting, but it seemed that would have to wait.
“SunClan!,” he yowled as he rushed towards the back entrance where the fire had started so that he could more efficiently guide those most at risk to safety. “Evacuate the camp! We have to be quick, but calm! Be sure to support anyone struggling to get out, we'll gather by the golden pond!” The golden pond was both a safe distance from the camp, and the nearest body of water. |

Lichenshine was awakening from her own coma this morning. She'd hardly believed the battle party when they broke the news. They'd missed an exciting battle all to play camp guard. Lichenshine couldn't believe she'd missed out on the important work. As the fire's smoke filled the air, the calico warrior knew how she could make up for it here. Rabbitstar called for evacuation, But Lichenshine didn't intend to leave right away. Green eyes flittered to rhe nursery. The queens could use help evacuating the kits. Lichenshine turned to face the nearest warrior. "Hey, come on! We've got to get the kits out of here."// feel free to have your character jump in with Lichenshine  |

ROOTPAW& ❥ The trifold apprentice sat bolt upright in their nest at the scent of smoke, the alert all but terrifying them all. They urged their fellow apprentices to get up and awake before bolting out of the den themselves. "Ma!? Fawnheart!?" Root called out, wanting to find them quicker. His littermates were rousing from the apprentice den; he knew where they were. Crowflame was still in a daze from the battle, a million thoughts zooming through her head and none she could make out clearly. The large warrior felt like a swarm of bees had taken up residence in his brain, and they weren’t even offering him honey.
It took them a few seconds longer than they would like to admit to process the situation, Rabbitstar’s orders almost falling on deaf ears, had Lichenshine’s voice not broken through their stupor.
“Huh? Oh!” Xeir eyes widened, mannerisms becoming frantic as xe suddenly understood the danger. “Right! Kits are important.” The large warrior babbled as it darted after Lichenshine.

Lichenshine had to stop herself from rolling her eyes. She should be grateful that anyone heeded her call in the first place, but Crowflame looked like he had kitten fluff where his brain should be.
"Come on, we're wasting time. I'll wake you the queens and you start helping them herd kits out of the den. Keep them together." Lichenshine didn't want to think about what would happen to kits that got separated. But they weren't going to let that happen. Well, Lichenshine wasn't going to let that happen. They'd keep an eye on Crowflame.

✧ ♬♩♡ ♪♩ Rookbriar ♩♪ ♡♩♬ ✧ Still half dazed herself from not having woken up that long ago, it took her an extra moment to process Rootpaw's voice. As soon as she did, though, she rushed towards him. “Rootpaw!,” she called back, briefly examining their physical state. She gave a quick sweep of her tongue across their forehead in both relief and reassurance. “Are your littermates alright?” Rookbriar scanned the camp for any sign of Fawnheart or her other kits, the imposed risk temporarily out of her mind. For her, anyway. With a nudge towards the entrance that was clear so far, she gestured for Rootpaw to move to safety. “Go to the Golden Pond, like Rabbitstar said, I'll collect your littermates and Fawnheart, and we'll meet you there,” she insisted. |

“Of course! Of course.” Crowflame rushes, somewhat distractedly. She could be good at this job, she was tall enough. The kits wouldn’t lose sight of her too easily. These slightly nonsensical and very unneeded thoughts raced through his mind as he pushed into the nursery, scanning for queens and kits in need of herding. “Alright! Everyone out!”

ROOTPAW& ❥ There was some relief when Rookbriar found him, and he gave a self assuring purr thanks to the comfort that alone provided. But he had to run, like she said. "They're still waking up in the apprentice den," he looked over his shoulder at the den in question, fur prickling with an edge of fear for the safety of his littermates and peers. "Don't get hurt, okay mama?" is all he asked of her before bumping his head into her shoulder and running off to follow where Rabbitstar was directing other clanmates. sunclan — apprentice — healthy

As Rootpaw rushed to safety, Rookbriar rushed to the apprentices' den to make sure her other kits got out safely. Looking over her shoulder as she dashed, she called out to Rootpaw quickly, one final well wish. “Be careful!”Now for the others. Skidding to a halt outside the apprentices' den, she peered into the entrance, making an effort to not block the path for any cats getting to safety. “Is anyone still in here?,” she called. |

When Fawnheart had wished for the warmth to return, all those moons ago before they'd been ensnared into an eternal dream, this wasn't exactly what they'd had in mind.
The growing smog almost hadn't been enough to wake him, still deeply groggy from all the time spent asleep- a side effect that seemed counterintuitive, if they hadn't caught the way Tinyleaf had been swaying on his paws during the first few patrols after awakening. It was easier, these days, to sleep through all the catch-up. To avoid processing the hell that'd engulfed them, their brothers, their apprentice...
Until he was given no choice but to confront it.
The clamor of voices awoke Fawnheart first, but in the confusion of the moment, they froze, searching for the familiar pelt of their twin and coming up short. Where? Where is..
Oh. Something isn't right.
For the first few moments, his limbs protested, rigid with that overstimulation. It wasn't until a good chunk of the warriors had already cleared out that he'd managed to unfreeze, spurred on by a single thought as his mind finished piecing together his circumstances- I need to find my family.
Turtlefang, Tinyleaf.. Rookbriar, and Rootpaw.
Hopefully, the emptied den already signified all four's escape. Rookbriar would never leave without her kits, after all. They fumbled out in a haze, made no less navigable through the thickening smoke which squinted their eyes and had them huffing as he sunk down, slinking for breathing space below the pollution. If this is greenleaf, then.. maybe I'm okay going back again.

Things had been complicated, since the dream.
Ever since he'd woken up, the actions in that false reality settled into his coat with a weight he didn't know how to acknowledge. It'd.. been harder to stay around camp. Harder to watch Turtlefang without saying anything, but what was there to say? In the instance of the battle, as the gods themselves were alleged to have descended, he'd..
Well. None of that mattered, now.
Not when he'd been returning to camp, after a walk to clear the prickle in his pelt, and had caught the scent of fire halfway back.
The voices of his clanmates didn't even register to him, blurred together into a soundscape that was lost in translation. A cacophony of calls, of meows he couldn't distinguish between his focus on spotting two key figures among the growing displacement outside the walls. Where speckled paws touched the ground, they didn't feel quite feel real, the borders of his toes almost melting where they met the soil with every bound onwards. A dream, maybe? This was just a dream? Like last time. It..
"Excuse me- Oh, I'm sorry- Pardon- Turtlefang?" There was no time for gentle nudges as he pushed his way for the entryway, green eyes darting- watering- it was getting smokier- for signs of his kin. "Fawnheart? Has- Has anyone seen my siblings? Excuse me-" Tinyleaf didn't wait for response as he kept on, finally bursting back through to camp to search for- Ah! Rabbitstar! And Rootpaw.. Two very important cats.
But not who I'm looking for.
He pressed out of the way of the exit, living up to his birth name and making himself small amidst the smoke clouds where he opened his mouth to scent- Cough, cough! Okay, maybe not! Eyeing the trickle of departure from the den evacuations, he scampered to search for any remaining cats. Both his brothers had a way of being so quiet, they could be overlooked in a heartbeat. The very thought made his chest ache. Or maybe that was the smoke, too!

Thornpaw - or Sedgepaw, rather, rushed out of the den, still dazed and trying to get its bearings. Where was it? Who was this, talking to it? Who was it, itself, even?
Did it even matter?
It could smell something in the air that evoked a need to flee deep within its bones. It stung its eyes and its nose and all it could think of would be to get away. It didn't matter how or where, as long as it was fast.
After a moment of standing stock still only tail lengths away from the entrance to the apprentice den, it made a mad dash for Rootpaw. That one seemed to be leaving as well, and he might know where they were all going.

ROOTPAW& ❥ Rootpaw didn't reply to Rookbriar's request of her; they both knew she's perhaps overly cautious. Instead, his attention was on his leader trying to instruct him. "Do I--? Yeah- yeah I remember," he managed after some rushed internal conversation. The jack looked over her shoulder a moment before spotting the approach of the assumed Thornpaw. Flower took the lead a moment, voice a touch higher in pitch compared to Root's. "Thornpaw! Follow me thisaway, okay?" she called to Root's littermate before looking back at Rabbitstar. "I'll lead it along with me, I got this," she asserted with a confidence that was strange for the host of the collective, not that it mattered much in this situation.
She quickly headed off outside the entry, trying not to choke on smoke but taking a pause in hopes Thornpaw was following along. It seemed to be acting just a bit off, and they didn't want to lose it thanks to whatever was happening now.

Birch'heart's eyes flutter in surprise when she hears the commotion outside the nursery, gently moving her 4 kits around and hoping to nit wake them up, she peeks put and was horrified to see the place was on fire!!!
This was no good, she was stuck in a hard place, looking back at her nest she had to figure out a way to carry her 4 kits to safety, if only she still had some containers her owners once used to transport things from place to place. She shakes her head and begins to try and get all her kits into her mouth, or try to carry them on her back or tail.
But she couldn't, she needed help an
d ASAP!!! She looks put into the fire pits of her home and screams for help.
"PLEASE!!! SOMEONE!?? ANYONE!?!? I NEED HELP!!! I CAN'/ CARRY MY KITS ALL ON MY OWN!!!" She begged as fear filled her body, desperately looking around to see if someone would hear her cries for help as she waits she hurriedly takes her kits a bit closer to the den's entrance, and wraps herself around her children, if her short life in her clan will end this way, she would rather give her kits the chance to live rather than leave them here to die.
