Brightpaw had wondered out of the apprentice den, unable to sleep and thoughts wondering the young cat gazed about the lightly fogged camp the moons radiance danced across the open space filling the camp with what kits would call an eerie glow. No longer did frost touch the ground but she knew dew would begin to glisten once dawns light touched the soft green blades of grass, right now though the young she-cat set her sights to the sky above the glistening of the stars twinkling before her eyes.
Forest green eyes stared in wonderment at the many flashes wondering just how many of the clans kin filled the billowing darkness, filling her lungs with the cool night air she began to relax the sight above calming :I wonder what the dreamscape of Starclan looks like: she questioned herself the apprentice knew she was safe so when sounds of others were heard she did not panic and race for the den but merely remained gazing at the sky.

⌘ Ashpaw ⌘ Ashpaw was never more alert than at night in her nest. He always seemed to track his denmates' movements, even in his sleep - more pronounced than ever when it was his very own littermates. With the silent padding of an apprentice abandoning a nest in the dark of night, Ashpaw's bright blue eyes flashed open like lightning in the storm of her dark fur. He caught a glimpse of a cream tail exiting the den, and after doing a brief analysis of his surroundings and the situation, cautiously got up to follow after Brightpaw. His eyes gleamed curiously, watching from a short distance as Brightpaw seemed to ponder the stars above. Finally, he padded closer to her. “Whatcha up to?,” he asked his sister, quietly and casually as he chose to sit next to her. He/She

Brightpaw didn't need to look to figure out which sibling now sat beside her, to be honest with herself she should have realized she might wake him as he always seemed to be a light sleeper "I couldn't sleep so I thought I would come out here as to not disturb anyone. Well anyone else that is." she chuckled lightly. Forest green eyes turned down to look at her sibling for a moment "Have you ever wondered about our ancestors? why the sky seems to full some nights and so empty another?" she questioned making sure her voice remained light and soft so that it wouldn't carry to the dens.

⌘ Ashpaw ⌘ At her gentle joke of not waking anyone else, Ashpaw purred a gentle chuckle and brushed his head against Brightpaw’s shoulder. His tail swayed gently as he pondered her question. Wondered about their ancestors…? “I wonder about a lot of things,” he began softly, quietly, pondering his way through his response. It wasn’t a difficult one, but Ashpaw was self aware enough to know that he had a tendency to turn one question into a million. Of course he wondered about their ancestors and the sky, he wondered why they let the terrors of life befall the living, why they only visited the medicine cats who seemed to struggle to answer that themselves, why they only gave vague warnings to cats’ fates, why-? But those were questions for another time, and it was Ashpaw’s turn to answer, not to ask. “StarClan is the hunting grounds of the dead, right?,” he began, an answer that came with a question. “I wonder if maybe the reason the stars seem to shift is based on the movement of the cats up there. Following better prey, watching over different cats, interacting with each other, even, maybe.” He tilted his head, blue eyes still tracking stars as if they might move before the cats’ very eyes. “If the stars are moving, the skies must look different elsewhere, right? I wonder if they gather with the ancestors of cats outside the Clans. Maybe they have their own Gathering where they come up with prophecies for the living.” Do prophecies predict their fate, or determine it? A bold question he wouldn’t be afraid to ask, but a shred of self restraint kept it at bay. For now, at least. Besides, he wanted to hear Brightpaw’s opinions. He/She
