● Newlight stands at an height of 0'9", not too tall, but tall enough that he stands a little over the height of an average cat. He tends to have a loping, quick-footed gait that makes cats have to catch up to him. His quick walking speed has some shorter cats struggling to keep up. His pelt is unusually curly in some places, especially his tail. He is rather lanky, lacking in muscle definition- though he makes up for it in wit and charisma. He has insipid olive green eyes, often half-lidded in an attempt to appear mellow and laid-back. A brown dorsal stripe runs along his back- a family trait- and he has an unusual star-like marking on his nose. He has a dark quaff of 'hair' that covers his right eye. His fur is light brown, with lighter patches along his chest and stomach.

● Newlight has been known for his seemingly unending patience, being able to deal with even the most stubborn of cats. He is able to tolerate insufferable cats as long as they don't insult his interests, and even then, he tries to hold off on snapping at them. He is not easily excited or anxious, nor has anyone ever seen him truly angry. The most important aspect of Newlight's personality is his curiosity. Ever since he was a kit, he's been asking myriads of questions- whether it be about myths of the past, or generally how the world works. He has an insatiable thirst for knowledge, especially for stories of Old, and StarClan. Due to the knowledge he has gained, Newlight is very intelligent. Both in a technical, history aspect, as well as a people aspect. He knows a lot of facts about history and religion. He is also very good at reading other cats, and uses his knowledge in order to advance himself and his goals.

Newlight is deceptive. Upon first meeting them, they might come off as friendly- welcoming, even, with their amiability in starting conversations. When getting to know them better, others may see under that guise of friendliness and curiosity is something far more sinister. Volo ergo sum. I desire, therefore I am. Newlight takes the definition of ambition to a new level. They will stop at nothing to achieve their goal, and are wholly unrelenting in their efforts. They are willing to do what they need to in order to get what they want, even at the expense of others. Their strong desire is what leads them forward, what keeps them going. Newlight is incredibly overzealous as well, as if their overly-ambitious nature wasn't already overwhelming. Every gesture is grandiose, and can be a bit disconcerting. They get very passionate or defensive of their interests- some might say they're high-strung whenever somebody starts talking about what they like. 

Newlight is notoriously dogmatic; outrageously stubborn when it comes to his beliefs and ambitions. He will not give up- an unstoppable force that nobody can fight- at least, that's what he believes. However, he doesn't really have the muscle to back up his words, just the wit and a hell of a lot of willpower. A side of Newlight that he rarely shows is his overwhelmingly fanatical nature; to an outsider, he might just be strongly interested in myths and religion- truly, he is obsessed. He is single-minded in his interests whenever he indulges in them, blocking out the rest of the world just to focus on myths and legends of cats of old. He is also incredibly idealistic, wanting, despite impossible odds, to make a new and better world, one of peace and unity- even if that means destroying the current world to achieve that goal. Despite rarely showing it, Newlight is conceited, hardly thinking of others. They achieve their goals for themself alone, never stopping to think of how others might feel, or the consequences of their actions. It feels, to them, that their actions are often without consequence. They feel unstoppable, and are secretly vain.
