It was a calm and cold morning in MoonClan. Too calm. When Nettlepaw stirred in his nest, blinking sleep from heavy eyelids, something itched in his paws: adventure. He was getting bored of doing what he was told day after day. Waking up, training, eating, sleeping. The mundane was boring. And he was still so young! So much energy. Nettlepaw was determined to get some use out of it.
But adventure was boring alone. So as soon as Nettlepaw was conscious again, he was searching for some denmates to rope in. Nightpaw caught his eye first. He was cool enough. And Nettlepaw had been bothering Ivypaw a lot recently.
That was all the convincing Nettlepaw needed. The grey tabby toom began to inch his way over to Nightpaw, careful not to wake up the other denmates. Most of them would probably just hiss at him to be quiet and go back to sleep, but there were a couple Nettlepaw was worried would tattle.
When Nettlepaw was close enough to prob Nightpaw, he whispered. "Psst, Nightpaw. Wake up. I've got big plans for the day, and you need to wake up." He had big plans indeed. Plans that were probably too big for just him and Nightpaw. That's when it hit him. Pantherpaw! He's not a tattle-tail. And he can get us past the warriors in camp.
It was all coming together. He'd get Nightpaw, they'd go get Pantherpaw, and they'd have the best day ever. If Nightpaw would ever wake up.
"Come on man! We gotta get a move on before the sun comes up!"

~~~★ Nightpaw ★~~~ His first instinct upon hearing Nettlepaw's voice was to ignore him. Not by any malice towards the other apprentice, but in favor of getting some extra sleep. He probably would've done the same for any cat, frankly. Until Nettlepaw mentioned plans. Nightpaw was highly aware Nettlepaw's plans usually meant trouble, but it was only trouble because it was fun. The sun hadn't even come up? It just had to be interesting then. Soon Nightpaw's ears wiggled with a groggy alertness, followed soon by orange eyes curiously examining Nettlepaw. “What sort of plans?” He was quick to have a curious sort of smirk flash across his face, tail swishing slowly as he awoke more and more into the excitement. |

Nightpaw responded and a big grin grew on Nettlepaw's maw. "I can't tell you in here! But it's gonna be a lot of fun. Now, come on! There's someone else we gotta grab before we can leave." Nettlepaw didn't wait for the other apprentice to protest before weasling his way out of the apprentices' den, mostly confident he hadn't stepped on anyone's tails.
Once outside of the den, the grey tabby apprentice turned his gaze to the sky. "Still dark," he commented, sighing in relief. "Hopefully we can get outta here before the sun comes up. I don't want anybody tracking us down before we're finished."
'Follow me," Nettlepaw meowed, making hi way to the medicine cat's den. He wasted no time entering the den, careful to step around Foxlily. The grey tabby made his way to Pantherpaw and began to poke the dark-furred apprentice. "Pantherpaw, wake up! We gotta go somewhere! It's important."

~~~★ Nightpaw ★~~~ Not bothering with any sort of orderliness with his pelt, Nightpaw darted after Nettlepaw as best he could until the sleep was completely gone from his mind. Slinking past Foxlily, he stood opposite of Nettlepaw to join in prodding Pantherpaw. “C'mon, there are plans brewing,” he added in a sharp, eager whisper. It'd been too long since he'd spent time with Pantherpaw, anyway, but he enjoyed the older tom's company. What sort of plan needed a medicine cat apprentice? Was Nettlepaw also friends with Pantherpaw? The excited buzz in the air was so tangible, he almost couldn't believe the rest of the Clan was still asleep. |

The tom had been sorting herbs in his sleep unaware that his attention was wanted else from his dreamscape after a couple moments something pulled him making his eyes peel open as he felt two proding at him recognizing Nightpaws voice he shifted trying to move away from the paws of his clanmates his ears flicked around wondering if Foxlily had heard the intrusion of the two in their den though he was curious as to what they might want he slowly got to his paws. His eyes drifting over to the still sleeping Foxlily before settling on the two that disturbed his slumber Nettlepaw and Nightpaw two that he hadn't expected together at this time at least. With his head he indicated to the entrance of the den so that they didn't risk waking his mentor. If she awoke to him gone at least he had already told her of plans to be out see what he could find among the snow hopefully replanish some of the herbs they were running low on. He padded out glancing back to make sure the two followed before he settled in camp for a moment laying his fur flat before he gave the pair a questioning glance.

Nettlepaw trotted out of the den at Pantherpaw's indication, a grin on his maw. "It's too dangerous to explain here," he whispered, tail-tip twitching with excitement. "We'll discuss it on the way there. I promise it'll be worth it. We're gonna be the coolest cats in the Clan for this!" As Nettlepaw continued to speak, his voice rose with excitement, much past the whisper he was trying to maintain. "Shoot," he said, returning to a whisper. "That was dumb, come on, let's get outta camp."
As usual, Nettlepaw didn't wait for confirmation, or even look to ensure they were following, before darting out of camp. Nightpaw and Pantherpaw were the perfect cats for this job, he was certain of it.
Once the group was far enough outside of camp, Nettlepaw was content to slow his pace and make sure everyone could catch up. He picked a snow-covered bush to wait underneath so he could explain his plan to the two other apprentices.

Pantherpaw held back a chuckle at the excitement that painted the other toms voice as it began to rise above a whisper Pantherpaw held no worry that another would wake before they left, sure enough Nettlepaw took for the entrance expecting his two awakened companions to follow him. He gave a silent knowing look to Nightpaw before padding after the other in no rush to escape camp, rushing through would sometimes get others stuck in the bracken that enclosed the clan entrance and make more noise then necessary thankfully it seemed Nettlepaw had gotten lucky and had slipped though thankfully smaller than Pantherpaw himself it gave them the space not to have to push through it making as little noise as possible he emerged from the entrance following the paw prints of the tom so that he could catch up he would glance in the direction of Nightpaw to make sure he was okay as they went. Soon he joined Nettlepaw under the bush trying to keep enough space for them all as best he could. He might still be an apprentice but Pantherpaw was no longer of the age having grown unto himself more the size of a warrior now than an apprentice.

~~~★ Nightpaw ★~~~ Though glad that Pantherpaw got up and was willing to join them, he winced as Nettlepaw's voice rose. The reaction didn't last long, exchanging a glance with Pantherpaw before excitedly bounding after the other two. A plan to make them the coolest in camp that the fully fledged wouldn't approve of initially? Possibilities swarmed in his mind, eventually skidding to a stop after Pantherpaw once they reached Nettlepaw's meeting spot, sending up a small flurry of snow with the movement. “Now what?” |

"Okay, okay," Nettlepaw began once the other two apprentices were settled under the bush with him. "You know how StarClan has been all haywire since Sunchaser and Moondancer showed up, yeah? That's what all the grown cats have been saying anyway." Nettlepaw recognized he was getting distracted. "That's beside the point! We're gonna bring them back. We're gonna hike up to the Moonpool and talk to em!"
He turned his gaze to Pantherpaw, trying to guage how the medicine cat apprentice would react. Surely he's met StarClan before. He'd be the perfect cat for the job.
"Come on. We'll figure out the details when we get there. We gotta keep moving. Before everybody else wakes up."

Pantherpaw listened to what Nettlepaw wanted to do uncertainty pricked his pelt though Pantherpaw visited with Foxlily every new moon meeting up with whichever medicine cat was available for Sunclan at that moment it didn't mean he was a fan of making the walk, and to be taking those that normally would not be going near the pool. He couldn't help but think deeply would it be offensive? Though Starclan had been kinda silent when it came to the presence of Moondancer and Sunchaser so much so that he had began to ponder the idea that maybe Starclan couldn't exactly see them.

~~~★ Nightpaw ★~~~ Despite Pantherpaw's silence, the idea sparked a great deal of interest in Nightpaw. “You really think they'd answer us?,” he asked, ready to follow the lead of whoever actually knew where the Moonpond was. It wasn't as if Nightpaw had ever been there himself, despite his treks out of Clan territory to follow Frigidheart around. It seemed weird, in hindsight, but then, he'd heard that his mother didn't really like getting anywhere near the border... Well, anyway, there were bigger things ahead of the trio today. Bigger than family quirks and elders' tales of what lie beyond the Clans. “Do you think we can convince them to leave the Clans alone?” |

"I don't know if I would say that, but we might at least get a reason behind it further then the brief amount that the two provided. At least I hope for something." he meowed looking intently towards their path he had decided it was worth bringing them. Starclan seemed intent to stay quiet when it came to the two mysterious beings that had nearly blinded those in attendance at the meeting that night. Even to their own medicine cats though he was just an apprentice learning to interpret the signs he was sure nothing had stuck out to him and it made it hard to help the clans when they remained looking for answers.

Nettlepaw smiled, surprised that Pantherpaw was so on board with his plan. It makes sense. He's probably frustrated with StarClan too. And if anybody can get answers out of them, it's gonna be him.
"We've got the medicine cat on our side, Nightpaw! If anyone can get through to them, it's him." Things were going smoothly so far. But if they wanted to keep it that way, Nettlepaw knew they had to get to the Moonpond quickly, before any of MoonClan's warriors awoke from their slumber.
"Let's hit it. We've gotta get there before anyone can realize we're gone!"

~~~★ Nightpaw ★~~~ Inspirational enough! It sounded like there was a plan, several steps ahead of where Nightpaw often found himself anyway whenever he was doing things on his own. He could hardly restrain wiggling with enthusiasm as he followed after Nettlepaw. “You think this'll earn us our names?,” he pondered aloud. “I mean, what could possibly be bigger than ending the god problems in both Clans?” It sounded to him like it was a pretty unprecedented issue to begin with, and to be the three apprentices ending it...? They'd probably even get the coolest names from it! |

"Oooh yeah! We'd have to get our names from it! What do you think yours would be?" Nettlepaw could see him having a cool name like Nightstorm or Nightfrost. Something that sounded intimidating and cool. "Oh wait I've got yours! Nightfire. Cause you've got them cool orange-y eyes."
Nettlepaw looked at the black and white tom intently. "Oh yeah, that suits you great. Now what about Pantherpaw? Or, ooh! What about me? Whaddya think my name would be?"
