The snow was amazing! Nettlepaw had never seen anything like it before. He had been born in greenleaf, when it was warm and sunny and MoonClan lived in the northern camp. The southern camp and all it's mysteries had always excited him as a kit. And now he was an apprentice experiencing what was, in his humble opion, the best one.
Nettlepaw had come up with the perfect plan. He could hide himself in the snow and pounce on unsuspecting Clanmates. It'd be so funny! Maybe he'd even get to work with Webleaf. There could be some real combat potential here, Nettlepaw was sure of it.
Nearly giddy with excitement, the apprentice hid himself beside the apprentices' den. Whichever unlucky cat would walk by first, that'd be his target. Little did he know, he had poorly covered his tail. Dark grey fur was sticking out of the snow and giving him away.

Ivypaw, Apprentice, & Moonclan
Ivypaw had been in the apprentice den for a bit and decided to go out and wonder around the camp for a bit. He was not aware of Nettlepaw's prank that he had set up. Ivypaw had wondered out of the den seeing the snow, but it didn't take Ivypaw long to spot the dark grey fur. "Nettlepaw, is that you?" He asked now curious as to what Nettlepaw was up to this time.
Ivypaw smiled at the idea of trouble, though he knew that Nettlepaw would get caught. "You know your going to get caught, with your fur sticking out." Ivypaw pointed out smiling still since he found the idea of hiding in the snow fun.

Ivypaw perfect! Nettlepaw readied his haunches to pounce and... wait. Was he looking at him? Like, right at him? And shoot. He addressed him right away. Nettlepaw sprung out of the snow and shook of his dark pelt. "Dang it!" he meowed. "I was really hoping I'd getcha."
Looking at Ivypaw, Nettlepaw tilted his head. "Whaddya mean you saw me? I swear I covered everything!" Nettlepaw exaggerated a shiver. "I think I've turned to an ice cat now. Who knew snow was that cold!" It was a genuine, if silly, question. Looking at Ivypaw, he realized that the other tom hadn't experienced leaf-bare either. "Isn't so cool? The grown cats talked about leaf-bare a bunch when we were in the nursery, but I didn't think it'd be like this! I dunno what I expected really."

Ivypaw, Apprentice, & Moonclan
Ivypaw smiled at Nettlepaw. "Maybe a little, but I kinda like it." Ivypaw said seeing Nettlepaw shiver at the cold. Ivypaw didn't mind the cold much especially since this was the first time he had experience this. Ivypaw still smiled. "We'll get use to the cold as time goes on." He added happily.
Ivypaw sat down and looked at Nettlepaw. "Maybe that should be your name." Ivypaw said thinking about Nettlepaw being and ice cat. Ivypaw thought about the name ice cat. "Now that would be an interesting name." He added with a chuckle.

Nettlepaw's whiskers twitched, and in doing so flung small bits of snow from them. "I guess. I just wish I was used to it now, when my paws are freezing off!"
Nettlepaw tilted his head as Ivypaw responded. His name? "Oh, like warrior name! Yeah! Nettlesnow or Nettleice. Those totally describe how cool I am. Nettlefrost. Nettlefreeze. Yeah, any one of those would be perfect."
Naturally, this led him to thinking about Ivypaw's own warrior name. "What if we were matching! I could be something like Nettlesnow and you could be... Hmm... Oh! What about Ivyflare or Ivysmoke. Ivyflame?" His best friend needed a name equally as cool as his own. Something fire related had to fit. "What do you think, Ivypaw?"
