Nettlepaw was tired of waiting. Waiting for his apprentice name, and now, waiting for his mentor. If he was going to be the best warrior ever, he needed to get to work immediately. No time for snoozing.
It was such reasoning that led him to the warriors' den in search of Webleaf, his new mentor. She was young like he was, so she was supposed to have a bunch of energy like he did. The dark grey tom ducked into the warriors den. He crinkled his nose, surprised by how many different scents hit his nose. MoonClan had a ton of warriors! He wondered how the den even kept them all contained.
Before he could get too far into his own thoughts, his green eyes caught a flash of ginger fur. He padded over to the source, lucky to have found Webleaf on the first try, "Webleaf!" he meowed, poking his mentor with his paw. "Come one! Get up! We gotta get training. The sun's about to come up, so we need to be up!"

The she-cat flicked open her eyes calmly looking at her new apprentice her green eyes glowed slightly in the small amount of light that came though the entrance "Nettlepaw, it's great for enthusiasm however sometime in the future we will be in camp until the patrols are assigned in case we are needed there however I asked Needlesong to excuse us for the day so that I can properly show you the territory." she purposefully annunciated properly showing that she knew he had snuck out more than once now even though she had been one of the cats that sat watch last night she got to her paws being a newer addition to the den gave her the privilege of being one of the cats on the outskirts of the den where it would be cooler first in the upcoming months however she didn't mind, her thicker fur would keep her warm. "Come on now we'll head out and then see what we might do after." she meowed once she stepped out not wanting to carry a whole conversation in the den when others were still trying to sleep.

Nettlepaw chuckled sheepishly at Webleaf's initial comment. So what he had a bit of a streak of sneaking out of camp as a kit. He wasn't a kit anymore. The camp couldn't contain him then and it couldn't contain him now. "Heh, sorry about that Webleaf! I'll keep that in mind for next time." He definitely would not keep it in mind for next time.
Webleaf exited the den and Nettlepaw was quick behind her. "Where are we gonna go first? The lake? Oh! Maybe the mountains! What about the border?"

Webleaf's ears flicked now curious as to just how much the younger tom had been able to explore already without being brought out properly. She now had to think of where they might start their outing maybe she would bring him towards fishing rocks first and make their way around from there maybe see if the young tom had a knack for fishing while they were there. "I think we can start at fishing rocks." she meowed as she continued to the entrance of the camp glad they were back in the original camp and it was more central to everything.

Neetlepaw felt like he could jump for joy. Fishing rocks! He had heard from the elders that it was a looooong walk to get there. He'd see so much more of the territory! Maybe I'm a superstar swimmer. I'm gonna impress Webleaf so much. She'll never know what hit her.
Nettlepaw was kneading the ground with his paws, already feeling his impatience eating at him. As soon as Webleaf started towards the camp entrance, Nettlepaw was right behind her. Excitement shone in his green eyes as he bounded after his mentor. He was going to see fishing rocks! And the lake! He was an apprentice!
This was going to be awesome.
