FOXLILY They had spent a long time combing through the various types of twigs hidden in the forest in order to find a small variety of tree and bush limbs that would suit her purpose, and longer still to harvest enough to be usable. Now it was time for that labor to pay off. Dutifully, Foxlily sorted out the malleable twigs by color of their leaves and by their stem's flexibility in the camp clearing, presenting her simple treasures for her Clanmates to see. Once satisfied with the layout, she examined the clearing.
“If anyone wants, these leaves are for all of us! Feel free to take what you like and make them into something lovely!”
With the brief invitation having been called out for any and all to take up as they pleased, Foxlily picked out a few branches of their own. They had been inspired by their recent outing with Pansystar, and so they settled down beside their display and began to work at the twigs in her paws. She began weaving the sticks into a crown like the kind donned in the warmer seasons.
Twigs were, naturally, harder to work with than flower stems but they had the feeling that a leaf crown could look just as pretty. In terms of beauty alone, the bold and vibrant leaves were easy substitutes for the beautiful blooming flowers of new-leaf. They were sure that they and their Clanmates were fully capable of making something beautiful with them, even if it took a little more work.

As uncool as it seemed, Mosstumble was a huge fan of arts and crafts. It seemed like only yesterday that they were an apprentice showing some of MoonClan's warriors how they made flower crowns. It both felt like yesterday and an eternity ago to the grey feline.
Mosstumble approached Foxlily and dipped their head to the medicine cat. "That looks fun," they meowed, their tone sounding flatter than they intended. Without saying anything else, the grey tabby sat down next to Foxlily and got to work.
But, to their dismay, the only thing they could accomplish was snapping twigs. "C'mon!" they hissed as they snapped their third branch in a row. "Foxlily," they meowed, turning to her, "how are you doing this? Nothing wants to stay put." |

｡☆✼★━━━━ Foxlily ━━━━★✼☆｡ Her fur bristled briefly upon hearing the young cat's hiss, but with the context she was afforded, Foxlily managed to keep calm. She smiled gently at the question, pulling a few more twigs for them both to work with. “It's certainly trickier than flower stems, but you've just got to be gentle. I've had some luck with working them into where the leaves stem off. She angled herself so that Mosstumble could see her paw movements more clearly, and began to work in the end of a new twig into the previous twig's leafy limbs, guiding the barren end gently under and over the others already in her collection. For good measure, she nestled the leaves of both twigs so that they were almost intertwined. “Have you had to weave bramble yet? It's a bit like that. Less thorny, though.” |

Mosstumble watched the medicine cat intently, thankful for their aid. "Everybody had to weave brambles when we moved camps," they responded.
With the activity given new context, Mosstumble got into a shaky rhythm of weaving branches. They still had a couple of twigs break on them, but with the motion growing more familiar to their paws, the situation didn't frustrate them as much. After they had managed to weave a few together, they passed it to Foxlily. "This look good so far? I think I'm getting it!" |

｡☆✼★━━━━ Foxlily ━━━━★✼☆｡ “Oh, that’s right,” Foxlily mused idly. She’d almost forgotten how recently that was, so preoccupied with Pantherpaw’s training and the Clans’ perilous position. She didn’t have much time to drift off, soon being presented with the work Mosstumble had diligently taken up. She purred with excitement as she examined the piece carefully from a few angles. “Yes! I think by the time you finish this one, you’ll be an expert!”Returning it to Mosstumble, Foxlily continued her own work, shoulders relaxing slightly from a tension she hadn’t noticed. She’d been worried that maybe the difference between these leaf crowns and new-leaf’s flower crowns would be too daunting, but Mosstumble had adapted quickly. “As I recall, you’re quite good at making flower crowns in the warmer seasons - it’s exciting for me to be able to expand on that experience like this! Any other crafts you’re fond of?” |

Mosstumble counldn't contain the obnoxious giggle that escaped their maw when they were met with Foxlily's praise. "Thank you, thank you. Couldn't do it without you!"
Mosstumble's whiskers twitched when Foxlily brought up flower crowns. "Yeah, I guess you could say that. Those are pretty easy to make, though." She asked about other crafts and Mosstumble was drawing a blank. They liked crafts, and it wasn't like there was a lack of opportunities to take up a new craft. "I don't know," they replied. "I've never really tried any other crafts." |

Curiously the tom had watched from the entrance of the medicine cat den uncertain if he should join his mentor and clanmates in the activity Foxlily had chosen to do for the clan, he had not had the opportunity to do such a thing before and was therefore excited to try. However the last conversation the tom had had with the warrior currently creating beside his mentor had been when Webleaf had been a paw and his stutter had gotten in such a way he had been surprised anyone had understood him but he seemed to had asked a mouse brained question according to Mosspaw at the time even though he was more comfortable with himself now and his stutter now only pertained to larger words he still didn't want a run in with the warrior still feeling insignificant in the their shadow. Taking a deep breath however allowed for him to move forward despite what was on his mind, carefully looking at the variety of twigs and their leaves before he watched Foxlily a moment in order to figure out what to do.

｡☆✼★━━━━ Foxlily ━━━━★✼☆｡ She hummed a smile, thinking over Mosstumble's answer. “Well, if you're interested, I'm sure you'll have plenty of time to try out a variety of crafts,” she noted, tail curling with the prospect. Clan life meant a lot of important work, but when there was time, Foxlily was drawn to things like this - even more exciting was the idea of teaching a craft to her Clanmates. While she thought, she caught sight of her apprentice. Seeing his watchful gaze, she made sure to go through her weaving motions slowly so that it'd be easier for him to copy. “Oh, hello Pantherpaw,” she greeted with a purr. “Are you fond of crafting, too?” |
