Don't Overthink About It || Foxlily's Crush Anxiety (open!)

Nervous pacing was the very nature by which Foxlily lived her life. The bold days of her youth seemed so foreign to her, she could hardly imagine what Foxpaw the warrior apprentice might have done in her paws. Well, if her paws hadn't been the paws that very cat had grown into, but that was sort of a confusing idea. Regardless of what she would have done as a unruly eight moon old apprentice still eager for the fight, she wasn't that cat. Now she was the MoonClan medicine cat, and had been for many moons. Hopefully, for many more moons, though the treasonous beating of her heart threatened her position with every flutter of butterfly wings that bubbled in her chest.

As they paced in the woods, having long forgotten just what endeavor brought them out there to begin with, all Foxlily could think about was the pink bubbling emotion that terrified and calmed them when Pansystar was around. They knew very well what that emotion was. They'd been so prone to infatuation, even as an apprentice, but it was always easy to disregard. Just ignore it until it goes away! That had been their mantra ever since stepping into the hallowed paws of StarClan's tether to the living, but it had always been easier when that cat wasn't the leader. Maybe it was just... something about Pansystar, too, that made their previous method all that harder. They'd had much more luck avoiding Crystalsky (maybe because she was taller and hard to miss?), but as they spiraled on their feelings for Pansystar, thoughts about Crystalsky kept popping up.

Had she become too comfortable with Pansystar in the meantime? How obvious was it becoming to their Clanmates - how obvious were they becoming to Pansystar? “Ohhh, I'm going to get banished,” she lamented in blind panic, getting a firm response of pine bark to their muzzle and being effectively stunned for a brief moment. “Ow.”
