She crouched close to the dirtfloor and sniffed for prey. 'Nothing... again...' She thought. Maybe she's lost her ability to smell good prey.. She got up and shook the leaves off her pelt and started wandering around. She spotted a small patch a shining white flowers with small white butterflies flying close to the ground. "Maybe I can take a short break..." She said, walking twords the middle of the patch.

PANSYSTAR Pansystar wasn't far behind the grey molly. It was true, the spruce forest hadn't been kind with prey in the recent months of cold. And try as they night, no cat had the ability to make prey appear. Even if they asked nicely.
As they approached the flowers, Pansystar's eyes widened. They were quite beautiful: delicate with small white petals that seemed to shine like the soft snow that was littered around them. She hadn't expected to find such flowers this time of year, let alone surrounded by butterflies. She instinctively looked to Crystalsky, knowing the molly adored the creatures.
"Yeah," the leader meowed, a soft smile on her maw. "I think a break is more than deserved. Leaf-bare doesn't always bring about beauty like this." template created by sunni |

Crystalsky jumped slightly, not expecting to hear Pansystars voice. "It's a shame there's no prey here too. That'd really wow me." She laid on her back watching butterflies float over her face. "Leafbare has been kind of harsh.. I guess there's beauty in everything." A small butterfly landed on her nose.

PANSYSTAR Pansystar nodded in agreement. Seeing prey anywhere this time of year would wow her. And to think, she considered MoonClan the lucky ones. The spruce forest at least gave MoonClan cats some sense of protection from the harsh leaf-bare. But now was far from the time to be sympathetic towards the moor dwelling cats.
She watched Crystalsky with a smile on her maw. The brown tabby nearly gasped when the butterfly landed on the warrior's maw. "Looks like someone has a new friend." template created by sunni |

She laughed. Startled, the butterfly took off. She sat up, mumbling. "Awe, bye bye!" She sniffed the air. The faint smell of prey floated under the flowers. "Is that mice? No I must be smelling things.." She sniffed the air again. "Do you smell that?"

PANSYSTAR Pansystar giggled when Crystalsky sad goodbye to the butterfly. "See you later, friend!" she added in her own voice, watching the delicate creature fly away. She could see why Crystalsky was so fascinated with them.
The tabby's whiskers twitched when the other molly brought up prey scent. She closed her eyes and tried to pick out the mice scent Crystalsky had mentioned. "Yeah, I think you're right! It might just be our lucky day." template created by sunni |

Jaybreeze
they/them
Jaybreeze stalked out of camp alone. It would probably be best not to be around other cats, avoid the stress. Jaybreeze stalked quietly towards some bushes. They crouched, watching a small finch flit around the underbrush. They pounced on the finch and make a swift slice to its throat, killing it. They stashed their prey in a small dugout and walked off to catch a little more. |

PANSYSTAR Pansystar's amber eyes caught motion in her peripheral vision. Instinctively, the tabby's head snapped to face it, and she was surprised with what she found: Jaybreeze. She hadn't scented the feline out here; were they really that stealthy? "Nice catch!" she praised her Clanmate, a smile on her maw. "I'm sure that's gonna make some cat real happy. Don't think I've seen prey that nice all season!"
It seemed Jaybreeze hadn't heard her as the feline trotted off without responding. Pansystar wasn't one to disturb others, especially when they were so focused, but something was urging her to pursue the other feline. She turned back to Crystalsky and felt a soft frown on her maw as her conflicted feeling grew. She was enjoying her time with Crystalsky, a lot more than she had expected to. She didn't want to end it here.
Unable to make the decision, Pansystar stayed and place and hoped that Jaybreeze would return to join her and Crystalsky in their ow hunting endevor. template created by sunni |
