His ears and eyes were made fully alert with the startled reaction of Swanmask, only for embarrassment to burn his pelt once he realized their enemy was nothing more than a simple frog. Sitting down just as quickly, he returned his gaze up to the stars in hopes of returning to the flow of their conversation before the... interruption. “... well. Maybe we could hide some things and have groups of three or so go to find them. So the obvious part of the game will be to find the hidden objects, but we'll be able to observe the group function. Besides, it's not awfully different from patrol - that makes it a good setting for determining what patrol roles a cat might take up.” |

Swanmask nodded bringing no attention to Rabbitstar's embarrassment once he noticed what had startled her such a tiny creature with such a large sound it amazed her at times. She didn't like the fact it had startled her too but there was nothing she could do about it now nor would she want to as it would just make the two of them uncomfortable and so she focused on Rabbitstar's explanation for the other event they could do with the clan the item hunt did sound fun to do and though she knew she would have to keep an eye on these events to pick up what they were looking for she kinda wished she could participate in them. Maybe another time when they weren't trying to piece information together as something just fun to do with the clan. "oh like a...." she had to think a moment then she remembered crows how they scavenged for items among the leaves and things looking for something shiny "A scavenger hunt?" she questioned the word testing it out.

A necessary invention, but it wasn't often that the first try at something seemed to fit so well. “A scavenger hunt,” he repeated, letting the phrase roll off his tongue with a deep consideration, as if every syllable was brand new. That was essentially what it was, wasn't it? A play at being a scavenger, finding what had already been found by another? He nodded a slow approval, tail swaying easily as the plans began to come together. “Yes, I think that's a perfect name for that.”A renewed sense of certainty after the jolt the pair had received from such a simple source, it was a good reinforcement for his confidence. With a purr, he cast a smile to Swanmask. “In every little thing, you make me more and more confident in having chosen you as my deputy,” he praised gently. “Perhaps we can have more events like this in the future, if it's a success. It might keep a level of invigoration in our Clanmates.” |

To say the she-cat was surprised at the praise was accurate though she didn't fully show it, it might be possible for someone that knows her to see the slight change in her posture or the small tail tip taps against the ground that showed she was happy with herself and whats been accomplished "I think more events like it might allow for some much needed time with the clan in a more relaxed time then it has been." she replied the sound of the the wildlife around them catching her her attention for a moment maybe on the way back she would catch something for the fresh kill pile.
