The time had come again where Zero, our young adventurous protagonist had set out once again to explore the world. With each passing moon Zero found himself exploring more and more. Reaching out further into the wild. Zero loved the adventure. Today he was in the Wetlands. He would jump in puddles and kick the water gleefully as he ran around. It had been so hot lately, he was glad to have some rain. He loved the feeling on his paws. "I love this, it's so cool!" He continued to play in the rain not paying attention to his surroundings. Zero hadn't been aware that he had trespassed in clan territory, and he didn't know that stalking his scent was a predator coated in red fur. Although it didn't exactly need scent to know where Zero was with all the sound he was making. With Zero distracted the creature was able to sneak up behind him. It bared its white gleaming teeth and let out a snarl making Zero jump.
He spun around quickly to see the menacing eyes of the creature stare right at him, its teeth gleaming in the light. It was huge with red and white fur. Zero let out a furious hiss before speaking. "Go away! I'm trying to play!" As the fox stepped closer Zero hissed again. "You don't scare me! I'm a hero!" This time the fox lunged at him and Zero quickly dashed out of the way from pure instinct. He gave one final hiss and drew out his claws. "I warned you! Come at me, you mousebrained villain!" He struck the creature with his claws but with how small he was and no fighting experience Zero only managed to pull a clump of fur. The creature snarled at him and in a flash of white teeth, struck back at him.
All of a sudden Zero felt an immense amount of pain and let out a pained filled wail. Zero flailed with his claws and scratched the creature's muzzle before managing to pull himself away. The pain was unbearable, it made him feel dizzy and weak. All of a sudden, he could no longer see. All he felt was pain and the sounds were dulled with a ringing in his ears. "My....my eyes! What have you done to my eyes! I can't see! I can't see!!" His voice was weak and shaky as Zero stumbled back. He needed a hero, he needed someone to save him but where have all the good cats gone and where are all the warriors? Where were the streetwise heroes to fight the odds? Would a white knight come to save him? He needed a hero! They had to be strong, and they had to be fast, and they had to be fresh for the fight! They had to be sure, and they had to be soon, and they had to be larger than life! As the sky turned black the distant thunder boomed out. It's going to take a supercat to save him now!
Up where the mountains meet the heavens above, out where the lightning splits the night Zero could have sworn he heard someone, someone would come for him! Through the wind and the chill and the rain, he could feel their approach like a fire in his blood. He knew someone would save him, he believed that there had to be a hero out there for him. Someone to help him in his time of need. All Zero could do now was wait and hope some cat came in time to save him from this foul, evil monster who had hurt him, and they had to be soon!
