Pantherpaw purred as he sat there now able to give Nightpaw his undivided attention "Well I'm not sure, if it had just come to me I'm sure I would have found a way to ignore I was eager to prove myself a warrior so it was probably best that it was sent to Foxlily." he chuckled he looked down once more at the sorted herbs he had managed to do the couple discard leaves he needed he would have to go away from camp to discard so that none of the kits got into them when their mothers would bring them just outside the camp for a change in scenery he could tell that Nightpaw didn't really like how things had happened for him but Pantherpaw had moved past it and even looked at Foxlily as another mother figure.

~~~★ Nightpaw ★~~~ “Hmm...” Nightpaw thought carefully on what Pantherpaw said, not fully convinced in the matter. Still, if Pantherpaw would've just ignored it... “It'd still be nice if they let both of you know, at least. Maybe you could've talked it over or something, I dunno. I guess I never really thought about how medicine cats became medicine cats. They could've let you know at any time, I guess I just don't get why they didn't let you know before you were any type of apprentice, y'know? That way you wouldn't have to deal with the switch.” Then again, he'd often been informed that StarClan was mysterious and that living cats couldn't really understand them. Though, weren't StarClan cats also living cats at some point? What was it about the stars that made them lose that sort of conversational consideration? Not like most cats ever seemed to want to think about it, so begrudgingly Nightpaw decided to put the questions to rest. “Anyway, I'm glad you enjoy it now. You'll probably be a great medicine cat.” |

Pantherpaw tilted his head a bit it was true he had very little warning to it all though he didn't blame Starclan for the lack of communication since they didn't normally converse with the every day cat but if they were going to choose him to become the medicine cat apprentice anyway and greet him as one then why not give a hint mirth entered his eyes as he chuckled about the fact a little "Yes, I hope so. Find anything interesting out in the territory yet?" he had been about to ask if Nightpaw had found himself a spot to himself but didnt want to be to prying as it wouldnt be his own spot if word got out anyway so he opted to just see if maybe Nightpaw had something else to share about Moonclans territory

Nightpaw quickly got to thinking it over. “I found a cool hollow tree that's still standing,” he decided as he sorted through his memories of events out and about. “Oh! Sometimes I follow Frigidheart out of the territory, too, and they tell me about all kinds of things from beyond the territory. I don't know how much of it is true but I like to think it doesn't hurt to prepare in case some of those huge monsters are real.” Like dogs, he thought in his hunt for an example. Bigger foxes that were stronger and lived with twolegs and liked cats but sometimes ate them? That was probably just one of those things elders made up to scare kits. No way. ... just in case, though, he'd still practice diligently. “... do you know any cool stuff to look for?” |

Pantherpaw had to think for a moment would Nightpaw find what he'd seen cool too? or would he think it was just another thing that was normal to see? Pantherpaw hesitated a little then decided there was no harm in sharing "Well there's this one flower grove I used to visit at night occasionally when I couldn't sleep... when I laid down among them I could watch the stars but the bugs that are there they flicker and glow I had a glowing moth land on my nose it was fascinating." he meowed as he finished gathering up the piles the ones closest to him being the ones needing to be discarded and the ones in a bunch further from him went back to the medicine cat den.
