Unusual times called for unusual actions. She was supposed to come to them. But there was no time to wait.
Sunchaser, with a swoop of his paw, conjured Sloepaw into his domain. It was a region of light. Golden rolling hills filled with a myriad of vibrant fragrant flowers surrounded the area. The sky was a soft blue with swirling clouds that seemed to match the technicolor wonder of the flowers below. Soft stars filled the sky above. Some trees were littered across the fields, and on their trinks grew a lichen that emitted a soft golden light. Their leaves were a golden mist that clung to the branches.
It was rare for mortals to be brought to this plane of existence. Sunchaser could only think of one other mortal given such treatment. Neither, on good terms.
"Greetings, young one." The light that shone from his eyes was focused on the small cat. "Moondancer will join us shortly. We have business to attend to." The deity paused, to allow her to take in the situation he had brought upon her.
"Firstly, I've come to give you your full status as a medicine cat. You'll need it for the journey ahead." |

Sloepaw was verbal about her nonchalance towards the deities and religion itself. If SunClan had wanted a medic who revered spirits above and made them apart of her daily life, they would've chosen another. She didn't spit on their names but made it clear as her own resistance towards her role. Internally, she was fearful for why they had picked her. Before, she was simply an angsty teen with anger issues. It felt like they wanted to change her -- or punish her. Nonetheless, she couldn't hide the surprise in her mossy gaze as she was summoned to the realm of Sunchaser and Moondancer. Sloepaw muffled a gasp as she blinked into the world. One second, she'd been sitting in the den, relishing the shaded breeze and shelter from the hot sun. Another, she was snapped into a peaceful, quiet place. Her eyes glittered with childish fascination as she beheld the stars across a day sky, the golden plumes atop trees. "F... Full medicine cat?" she questioned. For a second, her spark was gone, replaced with the kind of dread you'd find freefalling from far above. Wide-eyed, she scanned around for signs of the other spirit. 🌿 sloepaw 🌿 mca 🌿 sunclan 🌿 |

"We know this is a lot to ask of you, little one. But dark times are upon us. SunClan needs you. The mortal relm needs you."
The diety looked down at Sloepaw with an unreadble expression. He had known this wasn't what she wanted in life. Most warrior apprentices didn't. It was somewhat rare these days that a cat actually wanted to follow a path like Sloepaw's. But the Clans always needed healers and messengers. And some cats had a gift that others did not.
He noticed Sloepaw's searching, and he raised his paw to signal for her to stop. "Moondancer will join us shortly," he repeated "Are you ready to proceed with the ceremony?" |

Sloepaw met the deity's eyes, unclear on nervous. Knowing that she was needed for this made her fur prickle. She knew that with Vinedapple disappearing this time would come. But in the days she laid in her nest, mind foggy from training, she imagined she'd be older when her full name was announced. That days of them warning SunClan and MoonClan would be long over, and something would've came from it. Her vision focused on the paw. Swallowing her anxiety, the molly nodded. "I'm ready." She really wasn't, she didn't think she could have ever prepared for this, but she would have to be. Sloepaw couldn't back down now and leave SunClan without a doctor. 🌿 sloepaw 🌿 mca 🌿 sunclan 🌿 |

On Sloepaw's cue, Moondancer appeared beside Sunchaser. The light in both of their eyes was focused on Sloepaw with an intensity that seemed as if it could spark fire at any moment.
They opened their mouthes, but the voice that spoke sounded as if it came from one entity. "Then we welcome you as a realized medicine cat, Sloeflame." They let their words settle before they spoke again. "Dark times are coming to our creation. An evil lurks in the world beyond. It seeks to divide and destory."
The two deities loomed above the meicine cat. Their eyes held no pupils and showed no expression. Sunchaser and Moondancer again spoke as one. "Do not let them feed into his power, Sloeflame." |
