Pikestorm got along swimmingly with the SunClan deputy. He seemed to be one of the few cats 'round who still recognized hard work, and there was nobody in all of SunClan who valued that more than Pikestorm. The dark ginger tom sought out the deputy within the camp's walls. Once he had caught that flash of tri-colored fur, he made a beeline for the other feline. "Rabbitblaze," Pikestormed greeted them with a gruff voice. "You busy? I got an idea I think you might just like" There was a small grin on the large tom's maw and a flar of determination in his eyes. "How 'bout a friendly showdown? You 'n me can mosy on down to Sunchaser's Meadow where we won't bother nobody."Rabbitstar//If you'd like to try out the dice system for this one lmk! I'm fine with whatever  |

✧･ﾟ: *✧･ﾟ:* Rabbitblaze *:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧ It was always a pleasure to see Pikestorm, though Rabbitblaze hadn’t been prepared for his proposition. When he’d seen him approaching, he’d waved his tail in casual greetings until he saw the determination in his eyes. This’ll be interesting, he’d thought that the time, and it seemed he was right. He returned the expression, matching the competitive nature of the question at paw. “That’s an excellent idea,” he praised, voice lined with subtle enthusiasm of something to stir up the monotony of the day. “A great way to keep our skills sharp - and, I’ll admit, to pass some time. I’ve already taken care of my tasks for the day, are you ready to head out, then?”He stretched, letting his bones pop and set before eyeing the camp exit with a smirk. Win or lose, it would be fun. It’d be a lie to say he’d hate to lose, but to Pikestorm? Well, there weren’t many other cats that’d leave so little sting if Rabbitblaze ended up losing the sparring match. It’d still sting, though. //Yeah, that’d be fun! Also probably better to test it on something low stake instead of having to use it for the first time on something important, ghasfnlkmgsaf (for the anxiety purposes) |

Pikestorm let out a hardy chuckle. "I'd expect nothin' less from you, Rab!" Again, Pikestorm was reminded why he liekd the deputy as much as he did. Some cat around here needed to be dedicated to work, and Rabbitblaze fit the bill just fine. "I was born ready. Let's go."
Pikestorm didn't wait to hear Rabbitblaze's response; he knew he didn't need to. As Pikestorm padded along, he tried to imagine what Rabbitblaze's fighting style would be like. He didn't think he ever had the pleasure of sparrin' with them. Maybe the smaller feline was a scrappy thing an would try to give Pikestorm the run around. Do somethin' lile try and use his size against him. I'll be ready for any tricks, best believe.
The dark ginger time couldn't remember the last time he felt giddy like this. Excitement would tingle in his paws as the fire in his belly burned bright. When was the last time he had sparred anyone? Not recently enough, apprently.
When they arrived in Sunchaser's Meadow, Pikestorm padded to one end of the open field. He took a fighting stance and looked up at the deputy. "Ready when you are, Rabbitblaze. Don't go easy on me now." |

✧･ﾟ: *✧･ﾟ:* Rabbitblaze *:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧ He followed Pikestorm's lead, eager to arrive to their destination but taking the brief journey as an opportunity to plan a strategy. Short legged and generally a small cat, Rabbitblaze was at an inherent disadvantage with Pikestorm. The natural course of action was to capitalize on that, of course, but Pikestorm was no fool. While not very old at all, Pikestorm was a wise cat, and Rabbitblaze knew this. It was one of the traits she valued in the warrior, after all, and was exactly why she was so confident in sending him to lead patrols or work with apprentices. What this meant, of course, was that he couldn't count on what he'd learnt about twisting size advantages around on Pikestorm - he likely had this in mind already. Hearing Pikestorm beckon him to start, he simply grinned up at the other cat. “I would never dream of it, Pikestorm,” she mused before making an attack. Rabbitblaze's other battle strength, shockingly enough, was speed. He rushed in towards the warrior, letting his paws slide beneath him before snagging and pulling one of Pikestorm's forepaws - without much thought as to what position it put him in. //hope I did that right! |
