The young she-cat had become impatient though she knew her mentor had a lot piled on her shoulders it seemed that she had completely forgotten that the apprentice existed and she for one was tired of it at least give her a mentor that would remember her if she was no longer able to train her the last swimming training Webpaw felt she had done a good job with but maybe she had disappointed her mentor further in the floods by calling for help with Pantherpaw? She was uncertain her doubts and fears kept her from voicing her thoughts and the whispers about the last gathering she heard did not ease anything for her but added more fear into her life. What would happen now? What will life be like once things were figured out? She knew not everyone would agree to the same thing and therefore pondered if she should maybe try to help her mentor even if it was just being there as company and maybe lending an ear... with her thoughts, a mess she proceeded to look around camp for the leaders familiar pelt once spotted she picked up her paws and padded over thoughts still swimming "It's a nice Sunhigh, would you maybe want to go out and check the territory? maybe do some round territory battle training or hunt?" she suggested as she drew closer to them.

PANSYSTAR Pansystar was caught off guard by her apprentice's dark pelt appearing besides her. "Webpaw, you really know how to sneak up on a cat," she meowed, shaking her head.
When Pansystar had taken on an apprentice, life had been much, much different. There was no looming threat of destruction by some divine creators if they took the wrong pawsteps. It felt strange to think of it so casually, but with no timeline outlined for the Clans, it was their life until something else happened. But Pansystar knew even that wasn't an excuse to neglect her duties as a mentor. Webpaw didn't deserve her absence.
Her eagerness came to no surprise to Pansystar. That was one thing she loved about mentoring Webpaw: the little feline was always so eager to learn. "Well, that sounds swell, Webpaw. Why don't we check on the wetland. The water should be getting pretty low by now. Hopefully we can move back to the other camp in the next moon or two." template created by sunni |

She gave off a small purr as her paws tapped against the ground "The Wetlands gives some different training too, I haven't quite figured out how one might have to fight in such an area." she hinted as she began to bound towards the entrance of camp looking around at the cats in the clearing. Maybe another time some others might join them but right now Webpaw was being a little selfish and wanted her mentor's attention. She wasn't particularly sure on how to comment back on sneaking up on a cat it was something she had managed to do, but she had picked up some hints while watching the older cats of the clan. "Maybe next time we go out we can bring one of the others along and see how a joint training will work." Webpaw made future suggestions as she had Pansystars attention wanting to be sure that something was set in place, she knew things didn't move right away but at least something was there and that was all she wanted.

PANSYSTAR Pansystar smiled at her apprentice. "That is a wonderful idea, Webpaw. YIt is getting to be time to see how you stack up with the other apprentices. For today, though, let's keep it a solo mission."Pansystar watched as Webpaw trotted to the camp entrance, and her whiskers twitched with amusement. She had to pick up her pace to catch up with her apprentice. "I think today we'll review some hunting and maybe touch on some combat moves. Webpaw was now content having managed to make her way to the entrance with Pansystar behind her she listened intently to her mentors words giving just the slightest of nods about keeping this outing a solo one. "Having to many things to keep track of can be dizzying at times." she meowed knowing right now just the excitement of going out was enough to keep her occupied let alone adding others that she would have to pay attention to. "Hunting before training sounds good." she replied to Pansystar question after her thoughts. The dark pelted she-cat headed south towards the original camp near the wetlands so that they could check on the condition of things she hoped there wouldn't be to many repairs to do once they went to move back but she was also realistic and knew that there would always be some work to do. "Pansystar, do you think there will be a lot of damage to the camp? The water was pretty high." she questioned as she had jumped over a small mound of dirt not chancing her paws to make it over it without tripping herself.

PANSYSTAR Pansystar chuckled at Webpaw's first comment. "You do not have to tell me, that's for sure. Being Clan leader isn't what they made it out to be." The leader's whiskers twitched as she double-thought that comment. Was that too heavy to be sharing with her apprentice? "But, regardless, it's my job and I wouldn't have it any other way." An awkward chuckle accompanied her words. Good job, Pansystar.She was happy when Webpaw changed the subject to the souther camp. "Yeah, probably," she responded. "This year the rain came earlier and harder than I've ever seen it. Or, at least in a long time. I imagine every cat's gonna have the paws full in the next moon or so." Pansystar didn't envy the warriors who would have to take up the brunt of the work. She remembered a few particularly bad seasons when she was a warrior, but they didn't compare to this. And on top of all of that, they had to deal with Sunchaser and Moondancer breathing down their necks at all times. The more she thought about the two of them and their task, the more she resented them. "You're getting to be about warrior name," the leader commented to keep the conversation flowing. "Do you feel ready for your assessment? Is there anything you feel particularly weak on? We'll still cover both today, but I suppose it's about time I start putting it up to you." There was a smile on her maw and in her voice when she spoke. Part of her felt plagued by guilt when she thought about Webpaw's training Her leadership duties often kept her away from her mentor duties, but even then her apprentice seemed to be doing so well.
