RABBITBLAZE The Gathering's events remained heavy on his mind, but nonetheless, those... beings hadn't said anything about being friendly to cats outside the two Clans, and they would not prevent him from keeping his Clan safe. Unless, perhaps, they were to strike him with lightning or some such similarly dramatic method of smiting a cat - but that wasn't important right now. He carried on, light on his paws in the cool air of the dawn, to the end of SunClan's territory. He would start off as a standard patrol, but his gaze betrayed his true desire.
What was out there, beyond any Clan's reach? Just how many loners and rogues could possibly be out that way? More importantly, what did those lands have to offer SunClan? The unknown was a threatening ray of potential in the midst of conflicting times. He didn't notice his paws stop as he continued his gaze across the scent-border - such an intangible thing - as his mind roamed possibility. |

The idea of there being more Clans out there intrigued her. She wondered what they were like, if they had also received a weird ominous message that night. If they were to be trusted or feared. Sloepaw walked alongside Rabbitblaze, noting the ghost of attentiveness in his vision. He looked upon the other side of the border, eyes glazed with contemplation. Paws already hurting from the walk, and bored out of her mind as she'd joined to search for herbs and not food or a border, she met another patrolmate's gaze and stepped over the border. "It's only a line. Isn't it crazy how we could step over it but we get mad if someone steps the other way?"🌿 sloepaw 🌿 mca 🌿 sunclan 🌿 |

✧･ﾟ: *✧･ﾟ:* Rabbitblaze *:･ﾟ✧*:･ﾟ✧ He had half the mind to reprimand Sloepaw for crossing the border, but he couldn’t keep the amusement off his face. “That would be because we set up that border. With multiple patrols a day, I think most outsiders can get the idea that this territory belongs to many cats - likely more cats than they themselves even know,” Rabbitblaze explained casually as he approached the young cat. “When you think about it, it’s really our own graciousness that ends our territory here. I suppose if outsiders were to mark up their own territory, we might be obligated to respect those lines - though their way of life is so… dishonorable. They don’t have laws the way we do.”Beyond the initial thrill of stepping past that scent border, it was quite boring on the other side - obviously. It wasn’t anything he hadn’t seen, after all. Nonetheless, he smelled the air as an inspection as to whether or not there was anything of interest happening here. He couldn’t really know if loners had made any territorial claims on this side of the border, of course - until now, maybe. |

Dishonorable. Sloepaw had never known anything but SunClan. She was born here, she would probably live here forever. The idea of it filled her with anger and bitterness, but she knew she wouldn't be able to face off against a rogue with no morals. But not all of them seemed to be ruthless killers. Some of her own clanmates were former rogues and loners, and they were just fine -- pests like the rest of them, but they weren't evil by any means. Swiveling towards Rabbitblaze, the molly stood at the other side of the border, back facing the expanse beyond. The world stretched on, but she never knew how far. I think the fact that there are former loners and rogues who have become our Clanmates proves the idea that, if exposed to the right environment, a cat might choose Clan life.” He gestured with his tail in the vague direction of where the river should be from their position, though it wasn’t in sight at the moment. “Take MoonClan for example. The way they approach the Code and StarClan differ from how we in SunClan do it as a whole. If enough outsiders were to learn about the Code or StarClan and form their own opinions on it, they might start up their own Clan to accommodate whatever ideas they generated.” He paused, thinking about that notion. “That’s one idea, anyhow.”He gave her a teasing nudge. “You aren’t planning to round up cats for a SloeClan, are you?” |
