✧ ♬♩♡ ♪♩ Rookbriar ♩♪ ♡♩♬ ✧ The squeak was more than enough to make Rookbriar beam, her heart and smile alike swelling with pride in her kit. “Thank you, these kits are my very joy.” She leaned over and nuzzled Rootkit fondly, with a quick lick of appreciation to the top of his head for good measure. Upon hearing the question, she hesitated. “Shortly after I found out I was expecting kits, my mate was… lost,” she answered hesitantly. “The kits and I are managing though! You wouldn’t believe how comforting it is to watch them grow.” |

Amaris heart sank a bit as she heard that
"Oh dear, I am so sorry about asking, I didn't mean to up any old scars. Honestly, I wish I could really say the same about mine...we were both happy to become parents...and yet here I am, really far away from them...not to mention they wasn't in good shape I'd be surprised if he even was alive..."

✧ ♬♩♡ ♪♩ Rookbriar ♩♪ ♡♩♬ ✧ Rookbriar nodded sympathetically, brushing aside her own drama for the time being. It wasn’t as if she knew if her mate had survived, after all. Merely that last they locked eyes, she was watching her mate be swept up by a hungry river. “Was your mate a kittypet, too? Or was he a loner? I don’t think your twolegs would go so far out of their way just to get rid of you, maybe he’s still close? There’s hope yet,” she offered. She was unsure of how kittypet affairs worked. Her only inclination that Amaris’s mate wasn’t her denmate was that she was alone in the wilderness without him. Otherwise, there seemed to be a whole realm of possibility. “I suppose it’s even possible that if you get to explore the area a bit more, you might find familiar landmarks! Not that I think going home would be ideal per se, but who knows? I imagine he’s worried about you right now.” |

"Maybe....honestly we met when my two legs forgot to take me back in the den...he really was sweet...but he was sick...he could walk it off but over time he just got weaker.....to the point that I had to go there myself..so it really was a low possibility..One thing I do promise is that I'll do my best raising them...I just wish the world wasn't as cruel as it was....."
She said before turning pink realising how dramatic it sounded and coverd her face with her front paw
"Oh moons sorry...ahhaha I tend to get a bit carried away with that."

I forget that cats outside the Clans don’t have access to medicines.” Rookbriar rubbed her cheek against Amaris’s raised paw. “In any case, I’m sure you’ll be a great mother! I know we haven’t known each other long, but you seem to be concerned for the wellbeing of others and really nice! You just have to trust yourself a little more.”Reaching out the paw that wasn’t occupied with Rootkit, she made an effort to lower Amaris’s paw from her face. “I’m sure you’re more capable than you even know!” |

She looked at her and her soft smile she felt all warm and fuzzy just knowing that someone had faith in her, and they just met!!!
She giggled and smiled up at her new friend happily.
" How on earth have I just met an amazing cat, thank you for that...I think if I ever get the chance, I'd love to stay."
She said giggling now, even her tails flapped of not slightly, showing her quirky side now that her shyness was slowly melting

Briar was for her kindness, her defensiveness, and her fondness for the little things in life. She was affectionate! So her name made her happy! " ...I think it was because when I was born, it was on a full moon, and I had heard that I nearly lost my life on that day, being the runt was not really fun." She said with an awkward smile, she didn't want to disrespect their clan, her name did resemble the moon after all and with how tense everyone was she didn't know if it was even okay to mention its true meaning.
Thinking about her family made her reflect on how, mean they were, her feline mother never really did love her, she mostly loved her siblings more, just because she was a bit weak at that age, but when her new family gave her that name, that was the only time she ever remembered them holding her in such high regard...
" You are the child of the moon." That is what they would say to her.

Does that make it… a fond name for you, then? Or is it difficult now?” Rookbriar hoped the question wasn’t insensitive, but she was curious to know. If Amaris did want a Clan name, perhaps they could brainstorm together and make a suggestion to Beestar for the renaming ceremony… She kept her head lowered slightly and tilted gently, hoping to show the sympathy she felt that perhaps her question didn’t convey. |

I think that’s what really set off the hostility,” she explained cautiously. “According to those who went to the latest Gathering, there were some… entities… that formed the Clans - we used to be one, and they’re disappointed with the frequent fighting. In recent days, SunClan has taken MoonClan territory, so I imagine it hasn’t helped our case.” She stretched her paws, careful to not disturb her kits, pondering how to best describe the situation. “I’ve never been one for unprovoked battle, but I think both Clans view the other as a threat to their survival. Honestly, we’re a river apart, so it’s always just seemed easier to me to leave them be so long as they don’t cross that river.” |

She felt sad now, no wonder everyone was at odds at things...and their gods were disappointed, with the clans drifting like the rivers, there will be a time that if nothing changes, it could end everyone here as she knew it, a grim thought but that was the reality that the clans may not be able to grasp, what caused them to fight so violently though? Was it because of their morals? Was it due to one's pride? She shook her head
"Well, from what I could think and well assume, it seems things will in fact escalate if nothing changes, even the Gods must have seen what was bound to happen to every cat that resides in these woods...it could even affect the next generation." she said with a grim expression looking at Rootkit and to her own litter that shifted in her, she couldn't fathom the fear it may cause and it would certainly not be idle for the young that may be brought to this world.
