≡ Rear up! Tigerpaw gave a powerful shove to the ground with her front two paws and felt her weight thrown upwards in return, balancing for a precarious second over her wobbly back legs. "Got it!" she exclaimed, eyes shining triumphantly, before she felt her body continuing to tip backwards and her face fell. Oof... She grunted as the wind was knocked out of her, staring up at tree trunks that seemed to converge to a single point in the sky.
This was a hard move. "Wish my mentor had some more time for mentoring..." she muttered, forgetting all their sessions together in favour of feeling neglected in the moment. If her mentor were here, they'd probably be quick to point out that her very over-enthusiasm with this drill was making her push off the ground with far too much force, such that keeping her balance was impossible. Instead she pressed on without thinking, ignoring the sore spots on her back that were probably going to bruise. She rolled back to her feet and gulped in a deep breath, preparing to run through the exact same motions. She reminded herself with excitement that a battle with MoonClan had to be coming, and that the battleground would be the perfect place to prove herself a warrior. I'll get it this time.

Honeypaw was never quite disinterested by what Tigerpaw was doing, she both fascinated and frustrated him. A cat with no heritage trying too hard to please SunClan. He wasn’t sure if they could be more opposite - or more similar. Regardless, he felt himself flinch slightly as she knocked her own breath out of her, and gave the tip of his tail a few impatient taps on the ground before resigning himself to padding up to her. “You know, Tigerpaw,” he began, analyzing the ground that was beginning to form a nice imprint of her back, “I think maybe your problem is that you’re trying too hard. You need a little less force when you rear up, that’s what’s making you fall.”He could appreciate her diligence, he often found himself working and practicing, even on his own, but her enthusiasm was what baffled him. “Your back’s got to be killing you by now, why don’t you try something else for a little?” |

The she-cat watched from the shadows making sure to stay down wind from what was now the pair of apprentices although Honeypaw wouldn't be for much longer she had been in camp wondering where her apprentice had went when she decided to wonder surprised when she stumbled upon them practicing and so that she could observe things without things be expected of her she had hid making sure that and shift in the wind was countered so that Tigerpaw was unaware she was near. She could hear pieces of the she-cats frustration including the fact that Swanmask didn't mentor her which made the warrior roll her eyes slightly as she focused. That last move had made her cringe wanting to come out of hiding to correct her so that she hurt herself less but when Honeypaw had approached she stayed hidden listening to what the older apprentice shared. She would come out a little later or just correct things when she "ran" into her apprentice later.

Oatpaw came up near the other apprentices. "Mind if I hang around here? My mentor seems a bit buisy showing off his supposed greatness." he said bitterly.
