Pikestorm's time resting in the medicine cat's den were finally coming to an end. He was appreciative of Vinedapple and Sloepaw's kindness, but not being able to attend to his duties was starting to get to him. He knew he needed the rest, especially after two encounters with foxes. Even so, not being able to pull his weight at such a critical time for the Clan didn't sit right with him.
That didn't matter anymore, though, because he was free and he had work to finish. Before any of that, he needed to clean up his mess within the medicine den. A large cat like him required a lot of moss. And with an injury like his, he was tossing and turning at night. Sloepaw had given Pikestrom plenty of sass over it, to say the least.
Pikestormed gathered up stray shreds of moss he had scattered in his sleep when he smelt the familiar scent of one of his Clanmates. He wasn't too proud ot ask for help, and he knew that if he had an extra set of paws he could get back to his duties sooner.
"That you, Flameflight? Care to give me a paw here?"
